I ate lunch here today with my friend as I recently discovered they offer a gluten free menu - all pasta with the exception of lasagne and all sauces can be made gluten free. The interior is very tastefully decorated and there are great views of the Barrow and Town Park. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. I had the lasagne, which was very tasty and a massive portion, great value at €9.50. The table next to us had pizza which looked and smelled delicious. I found it great that you could see the chef cooking the pizza from scratch. Will definitely be back.

I frequently dine here with my friend who has a one year old child. the staff are very accommodating and even provide crayons to entertain the child. the chicken satay is to die for and the nasang gorang is my personal favourite. atmosphere can be lacking at times though

Bean n' Berry
Key West, , Custom House Quay, Wexford Town, Wexford

Enjoyed a girlie lunch here in a laid back atmosphere. The menu is varied and a bit different from the run of the mill sandwich/roll options.Had a delicious bacon and blue cheese panini accompanied by a selection of salads.

Brother Hubbard
153 capel st, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Having read great reviews I couldn't wait to try their brunch and I wasn't disappointed. I loved the laid back atmosphere perfect for a lazy Saturday. morning. I had the bircher to start, absolutely delicious, followed by the semolina pancakes with a tangy berry compote and moreish praline, washed down with a lovely minty Moroccan iced tea. Couldn't resist a deliciously sticky cinnamon swirl to take away for afternoon tea either.

The Oak Bar
Westgrove Hotel and Conference Centre, Clane, Naas, Clane, Kildare

Enjoyed a very nice meal of a very generously sized portion of perfectly cooked salmon on a bed of mashed potato, which was extremely buttery. The accompanying white wine sauce was deliciously creamy and the accompanying roast vegetables were varied and delicious. Cannot fault the service or the meal.

Cafe Sol
William Street, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Gem of a find, ate here at lunch time as a result of a post on gluten free Kilkenny. The restaurant was very busy but this did not impact on either the standard of food or service. I order the quinoa salad, a delicious mix of Kale, quinoa, feta cheese and cranberries. Definitely a meal I will order again. My friend had the gluten free cajun chicken sandwich which was accompanied by a very generous salad. She said the bread was clearly homemade and delicious.

Vine Restaurant
109 North Main Street, Wexford Town, Wexford

Cannot rate highly enough. Service was exceptional. Half of our group was delayed meaning that we missed the 7pm deadline for the early bird menu. however the manager said that was no problem and still offered it to us. The food was delicious, very tasty chicken satay skewers and spring rolls to start, followed by a deliciously fragrant Thai green curry and sizzling chicken dishes. only complaint was it was a tad cold from the draught everytime the door opened but overall a great experience.

Bear
35 South William Street, Dublin 2, South William Street, Dublin

Had heard great things about this restaurant so was dying to try it. We ordered our meal me the chicken and him the ribs but were not advised that they did not come with any sides. Having waited for 35 minutes as the chicken is cooked from scratch, we didn't feel like waiting an extra period of time for sides so decided to forego. Couldn't fault the meat, very tender and spicy but the restaurant lacked any atmosphere and the waiting staff gave the impression of being bored and couldn't wait to get us out. disappointed.

Le Bon Crubeen
81-82 Talbot Street, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Dined here for the first time having purchased the 4 course menu pages voucher, but it definitely won't be the last time. I opted for the prawn bisque which was loaded with delicious mussels. The starter of smoked duck salad was perfectly accompanied by an orange and fennel salad and crunchy pieces of candied pistachio. My main of stone bass was perfectly cooked and came with a deliciously sweet scallop. I finished with an indulgent banana tartin with rum and raisin icecream, all incredible value at €22.50. The staff were incredibly attentive even though the place was busy.

The Waterfront Restaurant & Bar
@ The Lord Bagenal Hotel, Leighlinbridge, Carlow

Visited the Lord Bagnel as we received a gift voucher for Christmas as a party of 6. We decided to opt for the bar menu as it was an informal occasion, and we weren't disappointed. The service was both attentive and efficient, and the food delicious and of very generous portions. My particular highlight was the starter of goats cheese and courgette salad, absolutely cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning. All the prices on the menu had been reduced too which is nice to see in such challenging times.

Chapter One Restaurant
18/19 Parnell Square, Dublin 1, City Centre North, Dublin

Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. Incredibly attentive and professional staff who spoil you from start to finish. They even called a taxi for us so that we would be on time for the theatre. Food was delicious and perfectly balanced. Had the peach and bean salad to start, followed by melt in your mouth pork cheek and finished with the fig compote dessert. Will definitely be returning

Cactus Jacks (Middle Abbey St)
Millennium Walkway, Middle Abbey Street, City Centre North, Italian Quarter, Dublin

We ate here before a concert and really enjoyed it. The early bird menu is very good value 3 courses and a glass of wine for €20. Chili Nachos and Chicken wings for starters, really good size portion, both lovely and spicy. For mains, we each tried something different. I chose the cod in beer batter, really a large portion with delicious home cut chips, my friend had teh latino burger which was topped with chorizo and cheese and was equally as delicious. for dessert we both chose the lime and tequila cheesecake, very nice! The staff were very friendly and efficent even though the restaurant was busy with a large hen party. Will definitely be back,.

Rathwood Restaurant
Rath, Tullow, Carlow

A haven for gluten free food. Rathwood is always busy with a lively yet homely atmosphere. One of the few places where you can get a gluten free sandwich and dessert!! The staff are very friendly and accomodating. only downside is that the sandwich menu is a little overpriced, sometimes it works out at the same price as a dinner. But the food is of homemade standard and top quality.

Sha-Roe Bistro
Main Street, Clonegal, Carlow

we were greeted with a wonderful warm welcome into a very homely dining room. the atmophere was very relaxed and friendly. the food was beautiful, i had veal meatballs which very tasty followed by a lovely creamy vanilla teon mess. will definitely be returning.

Portlaoise Road, Carlow town, Carlow

Very good value for money. staff very friendly and efficient. Love the Steak Burger.

profile_review

Weeping Thaiger (Carlow)
Quinn House, Mill Lane, Carlow town, Carlow

My favourite thai restaurant. The staff are extremely friendly and accomodating. The number 7 starter is just gorgeous, its a mixed starter of chicken satay, prawn toast golden balls. I love the Pad Thai - the mild version as the spicy would blow your head. Rice/Noodles/Chips are extra which makes the meal turn out a little pricey. The dessert menu is very poor, but i'm always so full that i don't need a dessert.

profile_review

Market House Restaurant
Abbey Hotel, Donegal Town, Donegal

We opted for the 3course meal and a bottle of wine for €50. I choose the chicken wings for starter which were tasty and the goats cheese and tomato tartlet for main course. I wasn't overly impressed as the pastry was very stodgy and once you had eaten the goats cheese very tasteless. I was very disappointed with the wine as it was undrinkable. The dessert very definitely the highlight as it was a buffet where you could choose a little piece of whatever you wanted. The atmosphere was very good and the restaurant was full as it was the weekend of the rally, however as a result the service suffered. we were served by 3 different waitresses and found it quite difficult to gain their attention at times. Considering the price it was a good value meal.

Cloonkeelane Restaurant
Murphy's Hotel, Teeling Street, Tubbercurry, Sligo

We dined here shortly after booking into the hotel and were very hungry after traveling a long distance. The waitress was very friendly and took our order promptly, however our food did not arrive for another 45 minutes which considering the restaurant was quite empty was unsatisfactory. When the food did arrive it was delicious, i had the lasagne which was accompanied by the most deliciously creamy coleslaw, my friend had the lamb shank which was beautifully soft but was unhappy with the champ as she thought it was very salty.

profile_review

Le Tire Bouchon
112 south main street, Wexford Town, Wexford

even though we visited on a tuesday night, le tire bouchon was busy with a great atmosphere. we opted for the5 course menu. i had the goats cheese salad which was beautiful, very well balanced. the strawberry and basil sorbet was gorgeous and very refreshing. for the main course i had the sea bass which was melt in the mouth, the mash that accomopanied it was quite sparse however. the tarte tatin was beautiful, however i would question the need for the rice risotto which accompanied it as in my opinion it took away from the dish. overall a pleasant experience.

profile_review

Elephant & Castle
18/19 Temple Bar, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

We ate here late last night after a gig in the olympia. despite the late hour the restaurant was still quite full for a tuesday night. Noticing that almost every table had a basket of chicken wings we chose to try them too and were not disappointed. I had a burger and fries for main, hte fries were beautiful but i was a little disappointed with the burger as it was quite tasteless. the staff were very attentive and the service was brisk. an enjoyable experience.

O'Nuaills Bistro
Stanville Lodge Hotel, Barntown, Barntown, Wexford

I visited the Stanville with 2 friends. when the waitress gave us the menus i thought there must be some mistake. almost every main course was priced at €5. I ordered the chicken curry and rice, my companions had the bangers and mash and the pork loin and champ. to be honest we were not expectling much at those prices. but we were very pleasantly surprised. the portions were generous and the food very well presented. the champ that accompanied my fiends champ was delicious. an excellent value for money experience

profile_review

The Oyster Grill Restaurant
Hotel Meyrick, Eyre Square, Galway City, Galway

i ate here with a large party of friends. we chose from the a la carte menu which is reasonable value from money. i had the mixed root vegetable soup which was very tasty and of the perfect consistency. for main course i had the salmon with pee puree which was beautifully cooked. for dessert i shared a cheese board with a friend as we were quite full. the waiters were extremely friendly, the only fault i have an its a small one was that by the time our table was served the rest of the group had finished their meals. but this is understandable as it was quite a large group.

Fat Freddys
The Halls, Quay Street, Galway City, Galway

Superb value for money. Fat Freddies oozes atmosphere and the staff are very obliging. i had garlic bread for my starter and my friend the bruschetta. for mains i had a deliciously creamy goats cheese pasta, and my friend teh meatball pizza, which looked delicious and was a very generous size. i cannot fault this restauraunt.

Bia Alainn
Main Street, Bunclody, Wexford

Ate here last night with 3 friends. We opted for the bird menu - starter and main course for €25. I had deep fried brie for starter which was really tasty, However i wasn't mad about the cherry compot that accompanied it. For main course i had hake and leek and potato mash which was perfectly cooked and delicious. The staff were attentive and efficient. The restaurant was quite busy with diners taking advantage of the early bird. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Millstone, A Dublin Restaurant
39 Dame Street, Dublin 2, City Centre South, Dublin

was looking forward to visiting this restaurant, however was left disappointed by the pizza. I had the pineapple fahita. The base was soggy and cold, clearly not cooked for long enough. The atmosphere was good and the decor cozy though.

Pearse St. Nenagh, Nenagh, Tipperary

Stopped in here returning from a match in Limerick, the decor is a little dated and the service a little slow but the food is lovely and the portion sizes massive. I had the pasta carbonara which was beautiful and creamy, my sister the mixed grill which was the best mixed grill I have ever seen. Highly recommended.

Pregos
Unit 2 Balloyowen Castle Shopping Centre, West Dublin, Lucan, Dublin

i have eaten here twice in the past fortnight. the first occassion i had no complaints, the food was served briskly and was of its usual high quality. the same cannot be said of yesterday. Even though a gluten free pizza was ordered, i was served a regular one and the waiter said i dont think thats gluten free but left it on the table. i explained to him that i couldnt have it and he said he would replace it. my companion chose to wait to have her pasta carbonara dish. when the meal came it was obvious that the pasta had just been replated as it was cold. the pasta also contained an awful lot of bacon fat and not much bacon. a very disappointing dish. i hope that this is just a one off.
