Stunning! is the only word that comes to mind for the food on Friday night. This restaurant is an absolute must do for any foodies who read this. The meal on Friday was flawless and the flavours were supreme. Haut cuisine has returned to Dublin.. We all (4) opted for the tasting menu, one choosing the duck for the main course. Service was superb and timed to perfection, no rush or long wait. The wine list was pleasantly varied.. I will be back again very soon. Top marks.. Go there.. I can't do this justice by reviewing the courses.. you have to taste them....

Had dinner here last night and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. 3 for dinner and we all had the tasting menu which was fantastic. Beautiful dining room and building, great service and amazing food. Probably the best dining experience I have ever had. The chefs surprise course was exceptionally good, aubergine with prawns and a parmeshan crisp was full of flavour. Dinner was great but the bar downstairs was lacking abit, it felt abit unorganised with lots of staff milling about the place, but that is just a minor complaint. The bill came to €260 which included a few glasses of pink processco and a few beers. Im really looking forward to going back. Thanks chef for a great experience.

Superb restaurant. The service, food and atmosphere were wonderful. The scallop starter was exceptional and there is a full vetetarian menu available for the non meateaters. The service was attentive but uninvasive. The fennel sorbet was out of this world - we can't wait to go back.

We had the pre theatre menu for 36 euro each, after two enormous gins and tonic in the very cosy garden. We met friends and fell to chatting and nearly missed the show altogether but the staff were most helpful, serving us swiftly but unobtrusively. The food was better than I had anticipated. The dishes were immaculately presented and I have never had better duck. Their a la carte menu isn't cheap and they certainly weren't busy early on but, for a taste of the good life at reasonable prices, we couldn't fault the meal we had. You could safely recommend it to anyone.

The best restaurant in Dublin without a doubt. Food is exquisite. Staff are so nice. From the minute we arrived we were looked after so well. Service amazing. Fantastic atmosphere. Food is a million miles ahead of every other restaurant in Ireland. Looking forward to my next visit.

I had lunch with some friends here yesterday and found it absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious and the portions were just the right size that after a three course lunch we were satisfied but not feeling heavy and overly full. The lunch menu represents amazing value as you can order three courses for €25. The service here is amazing - very attentive without being intrusive - and this makes dining here a pleasure.

Absolutely beautiful. Quite feminine and pretty (almost not particularly shabby shabby chic...) in its styling. I don't think I have been in a restaurant in Dublin that would compete with this for elegance. The food was delicious, we ate dinner at around 7pm from the full a la carte menu and were impressed. The small complimentary creme brulee between the main and the dessert. The petit fours were also excellent, and plentiful. The wine list is not wonderful, but is decent enough, with a good selection of moderately priced wines.

Residence is a very welcome addition to the fine dining scene in Dublin. Having eaten here three times (including once for the full tasting menu) I can safely say it meets the standards of the very best around. The venison and the roast goose are personal favourites, but it's the imagination and originality of the ingredient combinations and preparation methods that sets Residence apart from most restaurants aspiring to offer the fine dining experience. Yes, it's expensive, but for a special occasion very well worth it. A nod should also be given to the very knowledgeable sommelier and the inclusion of several excellent reasonably-priced options on the wine list.

Visited here for wonderful girly dinner last Sat pm with 2 friends...each of us HUGELY impressed. A warm welcome was extended from start by an exemplary restaurant manager. The dining room is beautiful- think French palace style ,and the ambiance elegant and serene. Food was amazing- prawn starter is melt-in-your mouth, and the mains equally lived up to high standard. Both the owners personally checked on us - they work exceptionally hard and really deserve all the credit they get for this beautiful place... Highly recommend++++

I visited the dining room for lunch and was delighted with the overall experience as were my two companions. Scallops for two of us as a starter went down very well followed by goose for me, beef and venison for the other two. The service was impeccable with staff regularly visiting our table to make sure we were ok. The food was perfectly cooked and presented. If you don't wish to eat in the dining room, there is also a very good bar menu to choose from.
