Me and my family came to this restaurant a few weeks ago. We have never tasted such good indian food. We have eaten in lots of indian restaurants but this is the best! It has delicious food, brillient service and perfect atmosphere!

I'm a big fan of this restaurant but definitely not for the atmisphere or service. The new early bird menu is great value (as I do find the main menu is quite expensive) but I find it a bit annoying having to ask for the early bird menu as you are made feel mean or something which I dont like but I do love the food in general & the portions are a good size too. Note (I have rated the Value on the general menu but would give full marks for the early bird menu)

I felt I really had to write a review after ready the previous ones. Jausna has been a favourite of mine for a long time and I eat in or have a takeaway at least once a fortnight. I have always found the staff to be most pleasant and friendly. I do admit it can be quiet and maybe lacking a little atmosphere but I have never had a bad meal from there. We would normally have the Balti, Bhuna or Curry with chicken or beef with rice and nans. They have reduced they're prices over the past few months and I find it good value. I can say I have never left feeling let down. And very often the owner would offer a complimentary drink with our bill a nice touch I think. I'll be back.

This place is really disappointing, I went there with my friend and daughter on Monday night, we arrived there at 9:00 PM sharp, ordered at 9:15 and the food arrived at 9:45, there was only one group of four men in the restaurant. There is no kids menu available and no effort was made on their part to advise or help on kids meals. We decided to stay clear of the starters as the menu being so pricey. My friend ordered a saag allo as main, and I ordered a Sheek Kebab main priced at €11.95, which was a very modest portion for that price. I enquired from the server before ordering as to how many skewers of kebab are there on a main portion and he said there are four, however when the food arrived, there were only two skewers of kebab sliced into two halves to make four skewers out of it. I pointed that out, very politely, only to be told very abruptly that there are four kebabs on it !!! got a chicken tikka small portion for the child , priced at €6.95 !!! which was half a breast of chicken sitting on a bed of cold sliced onions !!! no drinks or chips/vegs with this order even !!! We ordered two glasses of wine for €6.95 per glass !!! which was a very cheap wine, bottle would have cost us €19.95 !!! I was so shocked with the prices and poor service I wished in the end that we did not come here in the first place. Oh, and the pilau rice is priced at €3.25 and a plain nan bread priced at €2.95 !!!!! There are so many good eateries around wicklow town, with good value, so I would strongly advise against this outlet unless they do a major price cut / offers and improve service and food standards. Following evening we decided to go elsewhere, and it was an excellent meal at very good prices. To summerise, a very bad value / cheap standards restaurant, that charges five star hotels prices and the food and service is no better than a chipper !!!

My wife and myslf though we were treating ourselves by going out for an early dinner without the kids. We have tried this restaurant before and were disappointed. However we had not tried it since it was taken over. They have an early bird menu ($13.95 two courses) up to 7 we arrived at 6. When we sat down were were only given the normal menu and not the early bird..we had to ask for it. We gave them the benefit of the doubt however we noticed that they did exactly the same with two other tables who arrived in before 7. Really nasty.Food was just ok lamb rogan josh was very tough chichen chili ok. No atmosphere and like the last review we saw them microwaving some of the dishes in a small serving area that was plainly visible from the restaurant. As much as Wicklow needs an Indian restaurant this is not it and we wont be back.

It's like stepping back in time and all that's wrong with the Indian-curry cliche! A change of name is not going to fix the problem either! Myself and my partner who have both spent time travelling in India and have tried this place a number of times but to be honest - it's just rubbish! Stay away from the Sunday buffet - they just re-heat food in the microwave - we actually heard it go "ping" Just Terrible!

Jausna used to be called Jamuna, but it re-branded itself last year. This is the only Indian restaurant in Wicklow, and it is great. I ate dinner here with my wife last Saturday, and once again, thoroughly enjoyed it. They have a new Set Meal for 2 for €45, which we chose from - choice of starter, main course (each dish served with rice / naan bread), full bottle of wine and tea/coffee. Fabulous deal. We had the meat platter to start, followed by Lamb Balti & Tandoori Makham Chicken. We usually get a take away from Jausna which is great anyway. 5 stars all around.
