We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Christys - huge compliments to their amazing staff. The menu was really inviting and the food was really delicious. The biggest call out must be to the wait staff who were friendly, consistently checking in on all of the customers...we never felt forgotten at a peak time on Saturday evening...they were natural and noticeably warm. Thank you, we will be back.

Ate in the " New Christie's " on Tuesday night. It was our wedding anniversary. Have to say the long bar and surrounding areas are lovely. We were looked after by a very pleasant female staff member. The food was really good.We will definitely be back.

Christies is a nice cosy pub on the main street of Arklow with plenty of parking nearby (it backs on to the river front). The food is always excellent. I tried the Mexican Special Wrap recently which was really good, their chips are super delicious. They also do a fantastic asian style chicken noodle dish if you are looking for something with a bit of a kick. The gentleman who served us could not have been more helpful. They do a special in the evenings, starer / main / dessert for €20, or €50 per couple including a bottle of wine. Top class food at very reasonable prices.

Myself and my partner visited Christies for food for the first time for what was supposed to be a quiet meal with another couple. As it turned out we met up with 3 other friends who joined us for dinner. I was surprised by the amount of choice on their menu and the value which seemed available too. We all decided to skip starters as it was quite late in the evening and went straight to the main courses. I chose the black pepper chicken goujons with chips and side salad which was delicious. My partner opted for the chicken burger, while the others had a mix of lasagne, Christy burgers and steaks. Everyone was very happy with their meals and we finished off with some delicious desserts, we opted for the cheesecake which was excellent. It was quite late by the time we ordered our food and the waitress was very patient and friendly. All in all I was very happy with the quality of food, the value for money and the atmosphere and service. I will definitely return and will most probably try their special value menu with wine which I;ve seen advertised/

I have eaten here a few times now and twice last week. Quality has always been fantastic and a decent menu. Its the best pub grub ive had in Arklow. On our most recent visit we ordered starters, main courses and dessert. Everything tasted great but on both days the one thing that ruined the meal a little was the big lumps in the mash potato. While it tasted great it wasnt right. This happend both days on my two mains and my partners two mains. Everthing else was fantastic and one of the best meals ive had in a long while. We will still be back on a regualr basis and hopefully the mash will be as great as everything else. Very good food, Very nice place to sit and relaxe. We will be back.

Myself, my wife and 8 year old daughter popped in for a bite to eat last night, whilst my sons were at the local cinema. Being a Bank Holiday weekend, it was very busy, but we were seated quickly. The menu is varied to cater for all tastes, and is excellently priced. I had mushroom soup to start, which was homemade, and delicious. For mains, I had chicken goujons, which were coated in a black peppercorn seasoning, and served with chunky homemade chips and a red pepper mayo. Delicious. My wife had a large portion of potato skins, and ordered a side salad, which had sundried tomatoes, salad, croutons and parmesan shavings. My daughter, who isn't the best eater, asked for a bowl of pasta shells with ham and grated cheese, which was made specially for her. We had 2 rounds of drinks - the bill came to €44 - thoroughly impressed. Arklow doesn't have a great selection of eateries worth mentioning, at the casual level, but Christy's is the best you will get.

We had a pub lunch in Christies and it was really, really good. We got 2 portions of fish & chips. I'm not a huge fish eater, but it was really good. We shared a cheesecake for desert and it was yummy! Definitely going back.

We ate in Christys durind the mid term break as I had heard some good comments about it lately. Our party of six had late lunch and were very happy with the food. I had confit of duck which was lovely and rich, two goujons of seafood were beautiful and fresh and large portions. One seafood linguini with garlic bread was great, two portions of prawns in garlic were beautiful. All in all the food was great, service good and setting pretty good too. I saw they had a three course 20 euro menu available in the evening which I will definately be back for.

The food in Christy's is very good - top marks to the chef. Two in my party had the set dinner - 3 courses for €20. The starters ordered were garlic mushrooms and caesar salad. Both were very tasty and large portions. I had the seafood linguinne, which was excellent! There are two negative comments I have to make though. One is that my friend ordered a coke with no ice. She was given a glass only half full of coke and it was €2.40! Also the seating was not very comfortable, as most were barstools with no backrest.

for pub grub it is on the pricey side, however the food is excellent, service is good, one thing though is that with all the waiting staff they have as soon as you put down your cutlery, they are hovering around you asking if you are finished your course, which is annoying.
