Will not return. Waiter made no effort at customer service, very rude, food over priced, cake not fresh and crowded seating.

Had lunch here recently and it was fine. Overpriced sandwiches which are not very exciting but my son had bacon and pancakes which was good value and ideal for children. Cake tea and coffee are the staples here and they are fine. Could take or leave it really.

I visited Homans with friends last Saturday after several years away from the place. I have to say I was pleasently surprised. The hot chocolate was lovely, as was the wheat free flapjack esque cake. In fact they were so good that I returned to takeaway the pair later in the week! Thumbs up for having wheat free options, including chocolate brownies. My friends said the coffees were equally good, particularly the expressos. Their cakes also looked good and they were very large portions. My only criticism would be that the cafe is quite cramped but that said we did manage to comfortably sit 6 adults and a baby.

We, as a family went here on New Years Day morning for breakfast. We all chose the pancakes. We were disappointed when the pancakes were obviously shop bought ( we normally buy the same ones in our weekly shop). It is so easy to make fresh pancakes, and a coffee shop that serves otherwise good food to charge alot for pre packed pancakes disappointed us. However, we have eaten lunch and stopped for cake at Homans and have enjoyed them. This time felt let down.

Homan's is in a perfect location, between the greystones station and the beach. The terrace is pleasant for people watching on the odd sunny winters day. However the inside is so small, I didn't feel so comfortable. The tapas are okay, I don't think they're great value and the coffee is 3 quid, possibly the most expensive coffee in wicklow. The staff are pleasant enough but because the place is so small you get to hear their life stories, like it or not. I will probably return for a coffee, dear as it is but I will have my meals elsewhere

Delicious Tapas. Homans are open evenings for Tapas Thursday - Saturday. I went there last night and had a really enjoyable meal. The portions are very generous (you can get three for €18.95). The prawns were so good we got a second portion and the spicy chorizo and humous and tapenade dips were really tasty! I'll definitely go again before they close at the end of the summer.

Very good quality food but not a great choice. Really just paninis and sandwiches/ a soup then scones and cakes. Would go back though. Tiny bit on the dear side for what it is.

The overall theme here seems to be inconsistency. The food is excellent, especially the Homans breakfast (Don't do brown sauce though), but the service which can be very bad and cost take away from it. In fact I find it extremely expensive, but I still like to go for the hangover cure!

Excellent traditional coffee shop with the best cappuccino, I have being going there for 8 years or more now. Always busy with buzzing atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. I find the food is consistantly good and is always tasty. Undeniably the best scones in Greystones if you manage to get one before they sell out!

I live nearby so have gone here on a few occasions. Each time I told myself that it might have got better, but it never has. The service here is appalling. The staff are rude and unfriendly and act like you are putting them out by ordering from them. A few weeks back I went there with two friends and my father. When I asked the waitress what the soup of the day was, she made a huge point of looking at the chalkboard, which was beside us (as if we had just been lazy). The soup was illegible but that seemed to escape her notice. I ordered a Greek salad and asked for no onions in it. She told me quite rudely that there were no onions in the salad. However, when the salad came out there were onions in it, but I didn't have time to tell her as she plonked it down and rushed off. I brought the salad inside and politely asked for one without onions, which duly came, minus several of the other ingredients which I HAD wanted i.e. olives, cucumber. I was too hungry to wait for a third salad. My dad ordered a cappuccino, which took around 15 mins to come out despite us asking twice for it. This is typical of Homans; I have had service like this each time I have gone there. My mother refuses to go there as she has had nothing but bad experience there too, and I am now taking her example.

This bistro/cafe has a fantastic location and is full of potential....if only the place was kept clean and tidy!! What a shame that attention to details like a clean floor etc are not considered when the food is so lovely. Found it to be a bit pricey too. Went here yesterday with my children, had a cappuccino, 2 soft drinks and 3 oatmeal biscuits: cost €17!! The potential......
