Myself & my husband hadn't been here for a while & were delighted that the food & service was as good as we remembered. The new decor was lovely too. We had lamb shank & the baked salmon, great food & great value

Very disappointing. Overpriced and food served does not reflect its menu description. Caramelized pears in pear, blue cheese and walnut salad turned out to be cubed tinned pear - not a hint of caramelization- lost in a sea of coarse spinach leaves. Don't bother.

Used to really like The Tower but since it was revamped it's gone very pretentious and expensive. Service is great and very friendly but I don't like the new menu. Won't be rushing back.

Visited the Tower bistro and opted for the 4 course menu at 27.95. It was superb value and very hard to beat. No sense of scrimping here, you get a truly good meal for the price. Had beautiful brie to start, in crispy pastry which was light and crisp and filled with oozing delicious warm brie. Opted for the fillet steak (at 3.95) supplement. It was fabulous. Beautifully cooked and presented and supremely tender. Came with simple tasty veg and lovely homemade chunky chips. Had malteser chesecake after, found it a bit heavy but am not a desert fan anyway. Really enjoyed, pleasant staff, manager seemed like a very friendly guy also. Will be back for sure.

I ate here with a group of 8 and found the food excellent. We had the 4 course meal which we thought was brilliant value. The service was very quick considering it was quite busy. Everyone enjoyed it, and we all will defiantly be back again in the future.

I ate in the bistro last night with my boyfriend. we had booked an early table orginally planning to go for the early bird, but we decided on the set menu for 27.50 per head. we had crab claw and the chicken satay for starters, my prawns ans crab claws were perfectly cooked and the garlic butter was just right not too garlicly. The chicken satay was nice and not too spicy the only thing was that the noodles tasted more like a thin pasta then noodles. for mains we had the seabream and the steak. The seabream was cooked just right, it was lovely and moist and the flavour was well complemented by the sauce. My boyfriend had the fillet steak and he said it was the best he has had in a long time, it was cooked just as he asked to meduim rare and was lovely and tender for desert we shared the banoffi pie and the malteaser cheese cake, unfortunatly they had ran out of the toblerone one. all in all it was a lovely meal even if the service was a little slow, tho in fairness when we sat down there was already 2 tables of 6 and shortly after we arrived a table of 14 were seated.

We've been regular visitors to the Tower recently and it just gets better and better. The Early Bird menu @ €20.00 pp is a definite winner and their set menu @ €27.95 pp for 4 courses with lots of choice is excellent. The staff are always courteous and friendly which adds to the relaxed atmosphere. Keep it up....

Went here for the early bird menu, 4 courses (3 courses and then tea/coffee) which is €20 and I think great value for what you get. Had the brie and the satay for starters, both were generous portions and very tasty, then the chikcen and lamb shank, the lamb fell off the bone, again both were very tasty, one criticism is the side of veg, it says roasted vegetables, but I think they only saw the inside of an oven for 5 mins as they were still very hard and looked like they had just been chopped up and put into a bowl. Dessert has only two choices, cheesecake or meringue, so we had both so we could taste both. Mediocre desserts, but for €20 I felt I had received great value for money. Over-all great service and very good food, I just hope the secret doesn't get out and they put up the prices, as it seemed a very popular destination even on a Wednesday evening.

Lovely atmosphere, staff very attentive and the food was very good. I had calamari to start and sea bass for main course, its the best value for money i've come across in a long while, at €20 for 4 course early bird. my only criticism is that the menu has remained unchanged for the past few months so i'm at the stage where i've tried everything.

The Tower Bistrot have a great Early Bird Menu on at the moment: 4 courses for €20. I went recently with friends and had the mussels to start which were delicious. Main course I had salmon but choice of chicken, steak and lamb and everyone was happy with theirs! Overall, a great bargain and worth a visit.

visited here Fri 13th Nov with 17 women for birthday party!! had the early bird menu and have to say it was great value. Few comments from fellow eaters were: starters, mussels were gorgeous, feta cheese tarts very good, pate excellent. Mains: lamb shank very good, steak lovely (€3 surcharge) only bad comment was sea bass it was a little dry maybe this was because there was 17 of us? Desserts were average. House white was good and for those on red we paid €5 extra for a lovely bottle. Overall it's very good value for money and well worth a visit for cheap & fun night out

3 of us had the early bird- great value. One had pate, one satay chicken & another mussels to start. The chicken was a bit chewy and the satay a bit gooey, the mussels & pate were great. For mains one had steak, 1 a greek salad and I had the sea bass. Would deffo recommend the sea bass. For desert the chocolate toberlerone cheesecake was just delicious, really worth a visit in itself! The wine (house red) was a bit disappointing. The bistro was very busy for a Tuesday night which was a good sign. Would recommend a visit and will definitely go back again soon myself.

This is our third time eating here but this time opting for the Early Bird menu at €20, three courses plus coffee/tea. Again it was very good - mussels and lamb shank plus brown bread ice cream all very good for that price - coffee isn't very good for some reason. The only quibble - it was actually quite busy for a Wednesday night and in a recession and the staff, though always friendly, were a bit rushed off their feet and didn't have time to keep checking if we needed anything or a course cleared away. But definitely worth going back to.
