We Had to wait one hour and twenty minutes for food after ordering when the food came out all chips where over cooked and we got mainly off cuts off the chips hardly any normal sized ones. Fish had no taste the burger was like it was made of burnt rubber and the pizza had hardly any toppings on it then when the wings came out took one bite into the celery it was full of LITTLE SPIDER'S call a member of staff they took them back and came out with a so called fresh portion no member of management came out to assess the problem either very poor services the place should get a full inspection

Had dinner at the Porterhouse last Tuesday night. Service was very friendly and quite promtpt. We started with two pints of the Porterhouse craft beers from their huge list of beers. We then went for 2 delicious mains of the Porterhouse Burger and the House Special Burger of Bacon,Mince Meat, and Onion Rings. The portions were enormous and were accompanied by chips on the side. The total bill came to just 34 euro which was very good value given the quality of the food - we'll be back!

Ok here goes, being a big fan of our beach in bray and what has been happening with regards to all the changes on the seafront and the opening/reopening of different pubs and restaurants .It is really hard too just sit by without saying anything about how bad the service in the Porter house is and this is not a once off...... For years my friends and I have being going there and still do because of its comfort feel but as for the way the staff behave behind the counter with there too cool for school attitude and a manager that just does not fit into the place let alone try !! A big change is needed Liam if you want to stay in the race with your neighbours. This is not rocket science, it's just common sense of business.... And it's called"good customer service" take a trip in next door too the Martello and see the difference in how the staff act and how fast the service is.... And this is not a plug for other bars, it's some tuff love for a place that is going down hill fast !!

Have drunk in The Porterhouse many a time and decided to have a meal on this occasion. The garlic bread was nice and was looking forward to the 'Big' Porterhouse Burger. Meat was fine, rasher was mostly fat, a single piece of lettuce & half a slice of tomato was disappointing as there was no 'salad' on the plate as well.. Had asked for no mustard, only for it to come out with it, yuck. Had waited so long for it I wasn't gonna sent it back. Chips were awful. I can only assume it was a bad night as I have seen food before and it looked much better than what was served to me.

Brought my 2 year old little boy out to bray for the day for walks on the beach, the carnival and the amusements. Afterwards we were starving so checked a few menus along the beachfront and the porterhouse was the only place that did pizza (my little boys favourite). I ordered pizza, chips and a 7up. The food was nice but could have been better. I didnt get much change out of €20 for the food. It was a lovely hot day so we sat out the front and my little boy was delighted as the army were practicing helicopter jumps in preparation for the air show on the sunday. Dont think id eat here again, but it would be a nice location for a few drinks on a hot day.

Went in here for a bite and a pint. They were out of our first choice of beer so we settled for something else. We shared the match platter: sausages, chips, onion rings and wings. It was not great. Everything was a little cold and tasteless. Service was good and friendly, but I wouldn't go back to this branch.

Popped in for lunch today, very busy as Katie was fighting. Steak sandwich was ok, bacon and cabbage was lovely, plenty of it, kids meals were 4.95 and good value. I've had nicer food there in the past.

I eat here on a regular basis with my friends. The food is nice and quite reasonably priced. We usually sit in the area beside the kitchen. I like to have a conversation during my meal. On my most recent visit we were unable to obtain a seat near the kitchen, so we sat in the main part of the pub. The food was fine but the service was severely lacking. I had to go in search of a member of the waiting staff to take our order and again to provide us with condiments for the table. None of the staff returned after our meal to clear the plates. I called a member of staff as they were walking past, as we wanted to pay the bill. They looked at me and continued walking. In the end I had to go to the bar. While I wouldn't stop eating here based on this one experience, I certainly won't be sitting in the main part of the pub on my return.

I usually love the food here but am very disappointed that they seem to have started using frozen burgers instead of there old home made burgers which were really tasty. If I wanted a frozen burger i could of had that at home. The pub is lovely though and nice to go for a few drinks. Pizzas arent up to scrath either and my friends dinner was cold when it came. Mine was fine temperature wise just not fresh.

Decided I'd take a trip to the Porterhouse Bray for a quick bite to eat recently as I fancied a trip down to the beachfront with my girlfriend. Unfortunately I never got to sample that bite to eat. I wouldn't be the type to normally complain but if the Porterhouse are happy with the following then I guess that's their Prerogative. The place itself is a great location, I like the bar itself and the bar staff are friendly and nice but the service staff .. well, they seemed to want to serve everybody else but me and my partner. There were about 20 people sitting outside which isn't that many & we decided on sitting inside were there was only about 8 other customers. With 3 floor waiting staff on that to me is very manageable indeed figures indeed. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The waiting staff never asked me once if I wanted anything to eat even after me requsting the menu's from them. Eventually after 30mins we called a waitress to order food from and she said she'd be with us in a few minutes. I ordered a 2nd drink from the bar and waited 40mins before walking out as the girl never came back. I don't see why I should have to ask a 2nd time to order food. Overall, very disappointed as I'd expect much much better from the Porterhouse Bray which is a shame .. But No excuses Lads .. A service industry without good service !!

Stopped here for Sunday lunch after doing the cliff walk. The main aim was to try out the gluten free pizzas which I heard were on offer. I was not disappointed. I had the vegetarian pizza which was full of feta lumps and sundried tomato- yum. My other half had a regular pizza topped with parma ham and mozzerella. We were both extremely pleased with our choices and will defo be returning. A cold pint and live music outside made the meal even better.
