This place is very busy. The staff were efficient in serving the food. The soup was lovely however the lasagne was welded to the dish. It was burnt to a crisp after being reheated and the steak sandwich was a terrible cheap piece of rubber I would not give to my dog. Shame that the food let this place down.

Pub grub done very well. Had the scampi and chips and could hardly move after for the portion size of it. Quality of the scampi/prawns was very good. Very fresh tasting. Only issue was the atmosphere wasn't to my liking. Was quite noisy due to the proximity to many families including children. No fault of the restaurant, just not to my tastes while a bit hungover of a Sunday afternoon.

Nothing better than walking the Bray seafront, up Bray head and then back from Greystones via the cliff walk to work up an appetite, frankly there is no other place I'd eat in Bray, this place is warm, friendly and child accommodating, reasonably price from the hotel, chef, bar and restaurant staff they take great pride in ensuring your experience is well worth it to make sure you will come back again and again, The food is "Mammy size" portions and the atmosphere both during the day and night is great. If you haven't being to visit put it on your bucket list of things to do and don't miss out

Really nice place to eat in Bray as it is down at the beach opposite the promenade. Good if you can book a window table in the upstairs conservatory overlooking the strand road and beach. Always a busy venue where you can have food served outdoors in covered area facing promenade - in cooler weather they have heaters so it is never cold there. Inside you can dine downstairs in the general pub area which is full of tables in winter an open fire at the end of the building. There are 2 or 3 small little booths downstairs for an intimate chat with a friend. Upstairs there is a large seating area behind the conservatory. Good food menu available 24/7. Always lots of choice. Service is always prompt with nice friendly staff. Good prices too. I put three for atmosphere because sometimes it can be so busy and crowded.

Delivery of starter course was slow - apologies from staff - due to heavy demands (wedding). But we hadn't complained and were happy to sit and talk (family gathering of 8) and the complimentary bottle of wine was much appreciated. The staff were excellent - smiling, friendly and attentive. My steak was a little tough - hence the half-star deduction above.

Used to love going to Martello restaurant when they had 4 course for €20.00 and as we haven't been there for a while we went for our anniversary dinner. The menu has changed a bit since and is certainly more expensive now. Overall I was put off with the lenghty service. It was a start of the Summer Bray Fest so the place was jammed which I can understand but at the same they should have been prepared for it a bit better. The waiter apologised a few times for the long wait. When the main course finally arrived it was only mediocre. Certainly didn't feel like waiting around for a dessert. Also bring back the lovely deep fried brie as a starter. Will not be rushing back. Didn't feel like we received a good value for money.

Have eaten here a number of times without incident. Would decribe each time as neutral. Had lunch here with my family today. Five adults were in the party. While our order was taken quite quickly, we waited nearly half an hour for wraps. On arrival, two of the orders were incorrect. The food was ok but my chips were very over cooked. Won't be rushing back.

went there with my boyfriend to have some early dinner! the staff was terrible, at first we were sitting downstairs, nobody came to ask about drinks or whatsoever, as we asked for table, so they let choose which one we want. so later on i went and asked waitress myself, she told me to go upstairs if we r looking for proper dinner, so we decided to to for early bird. both of our starters were great, mine - goat's cheese salad and his - some kind of melted cheese, don't remember the name. unfortunately, my main was poor, chicken was way to dry, the accomplishments were poor either - just a bit of puree and roast veggies os, but his lamb shank was gorgeous. Dono if coming back, seems like self-service place, better maybe stay at porterhouse next door...

Went for dinner, and drink's Thursday night wit girls, food was lovely and arrived very quick, well presented and delicious, good value for money, steak sandwich with pepper sauce chips and crispy onions was 13.95 two of us shared it was yum. My friend a vegetarian had little to choose from, no sandwiches after 5, no toastie's, very little to choose from and no way would they do anything off the menu, so she settled for chips salad and onion rings, side salad had feta cheese Olive's it was delicious. Now to the bar, or lounge service, virtually non existent, we must have sat for half an hr wit no drink's, one waitress run off her feet couldn't keep up with the orders, not her fault just not enough staff on. Overall good food, terrible service.

Had a meal here recently in the lounge. After ordering I regretted not going upstairs to the bistro as they have a decent looking early bird at the moment. Nonetheless I was very happy with the started which was very filling. The main was good enough. The atmosphere was quiet being a Thursday evening with mostly couples there, which was pleasant enough. If I return I'd probably go to the bistro instead, however will definitely have lunch here in the future.
