An average or slightly below restaurant. Food without any great effort to stand out. Although a nice dining room and friendly head waiter. I doubt that we ever be back.

Attended Valentine's Ball here...atmosphere not great, mostly older people, not really a place for a young couple! Food: Garlic mushrooms very hard to eat, very dry, almost as if they had been pre-cooked and left in the kitchen for ages...However my Vegetarian parcel for mains was lovely, cooked to perfection...was disappointed that me or my partner weren't offered veg though! Dessert, like the starter, was really hard and difficult to cut, again, it was like it was left out for ages. Service was poor enough...wine wasn't poured for us, and there wasn't enough time to relax between courses...everything came pretty much one after another! We weren't offered any drinks - had to wait until our starters came over to ask. pretty poor experience really.

The food was standard for a hotel, with the portions a little on the small side. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which gave the place a nice atmosphere.
