Great setting, the food was surprisingly good. The service was excellent. Prices were OK. The inside was wonderful but the outside cafe was a letdown. The wooden benches were dirty and rickety. It needs some imagination. Having a radio on was not in keeping with the atmosphere. Brilliant for kids. Could do with more healthy food for kids.

Good wholesome food. Good service, depending on how busy you might have to wait a bit. Overall good value for money

Was here with a group of 11 year old boys for a birthday party. Some of the adults ate in the cafe while the kids were having their chicken goujons and chips. We had a variety of scones and cakes and various coffees. All of the food was excellent and not as over priced as some cafe's. The service was great and the staff couldn't do enough.

We dropped into the cafe on the advice of our daughter. We really enjoyed it. Interesting place to have a cup of coffee ! We had a snack while there however there were quite a few people having what looked like amazing breakfasts. Our coffee was very good and the scones were warm, served with cream and jam. Pigs heaven. Well done to Wicklow Gaol. They made it a very nice day out.

A great place to get good honest homemade grub. We went for lunch and I had the salmon with salad and it was great. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff are very welcoming. Highly recommended even if just for tea and a bun. They do a fab hot chocolate and all freshly made buns and things to eat alongside it.

Had lunch today and all i can say is yum yum. They must have got a new chef in since my last time there and wow the food is even better. I had Chicken Fajita today with LOADS of salads. Great value for money. The same staff are there as the last time and they all make you feel so welcome, it's like walking into an episode of Cheers, where everyone knows your name.
