We used to love this place and decided to try it again after not being there in a good few months, the athmosphere firstly was very poor the hall way was cramped with people sitting around waiting on their take aways and the resturant was quiet although half the tables full and it all seemed a bit uncomfortable, a young man was waiting our table who was pleasent enough but wasnt overly impressed when we requested a few more prawn crackers as we were starving even though we were more than happy to pay for them. We got a starter and main although they do a very good value menu for €17 which offers several courses however when my starter arrived I felt it wasnt cooked very well and could have benifited from more time it was quite tough, my husbands however was nice although not served how he asked it to be, our main course was very nice but again we felt like we were getting small portion sizes and wondered if it was because we had looked at the "specials" menu to order? Overall the food was ok but I wont be rushing back

We just love pings so much. They have a fantastic early bird that goes on all night for just under 17 euro and there is a fantastic choice. The staff are always so pleasant and the food is superb. The al la carte menu had lots of choice. The restaurant is so cosy but it is advisable to book as you don't want to be disappointed. Great restaurant

Ate here with a group of friends. The prawn toast starter was poor - very thin and overcooked. Main course of duck cantonese was nice, but they were very economical with the fried rice and we had to ask for more. Dessert of profiteroles was straight from the fridge/freezer so too hard. But the "latte" I ordered was the most disgraceful attempt to pass off an instant coffee as a latte - it went straight back, as did the "lattes and cappucinos" of my fellow guests - dreadful stuff with undissolved lumps in the cup. Service was attentive and I think they must be doing something right because there was always a steady stream of people for take-away food, but the starter, dessert and coffee were a big disappointment. Good value Wine list.

We live locally and go to this restaurant plus get take aways once or so every 3 months. It is consistantly good and if there was ever an issue with the food they immediately sorted it out. It is as good as most Chinese restaurants in Dublin. The staff make it something special.

I love this restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious. Although I sometimes leave months (possibly a year once) between visits, the staff still remember my name... Now that's customer service! They have often offered us free glasses of wine for no reason, and brought out a cake with a candle when they found out it was a friends birthday. The staff alone make a visit worthwhile.

My Daughter and I went to Pings mid-week. We had the early bird menu which was great value at sixteen euro ninty-five cents. This included starter, main course and dessert. Next time I would skip the dessert as this was not very good. We both liked our starters and main courses. The service was excellent, we didnt even have to pour the wine. We will be returning.

Nice enough Chinese restaurant, nothing spectacular but probably the best in Wicklow Town at the moment. There is a nice authentic feel from it.

The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, there was a production about whether a table would be available when a simple yes or no would suffice. Cantonese duck had no flavour, Prawn Toast was very greasy, Chow Mien was flavourless and swimming coffee tasted like instant. Staff took chair from my son without asking. Poor service, food not good, low prices.

I love this restaurant and am a regular there - the food is always tasty, good sized portions and extremely great value when compared to what other restaurants charge - especially their early bird menu - I think it's only 17 euro for a 3/4 course meal - and that's available till 7.30pm - it could even be 8pm (I can never remember!)

My partner and I are regulars in Pings. The service is always impeccable. On the last few occasions I asked for a prawn dish which was not specifically on the menu and they were happy to oblige. The result was delicious and just what I wanted. Hard to fault in any way, good standard Chinese food, served with a smile and friendly face.
