Visited Spice this evening after many recommendations...wow-seriously overpriced, overly pretentious place to eat.nNo poppadoms offered for browsing through the menu and 9.50 for a starter of samosa..seriously??nThe manager could not accommodate us without a booking for almost an hour which of course is totally understandable....if they were busy. They were actually attending to 3 tables max, however when we arrived at allocated time it was packed and I feel this was intentional.nFood:Ok if you like a jar of masala from the supermarket with s cup of cream thrown in but don't expect much if you know your Indian food.nPrice:Very expensive and I didn't feel it was worth itnAtmosphere:Very good but it is the Bank holiday.nStaff:The waitresses were rushed off their feet but very friendly and attentive.n

Used reviews when choosing restaurant. Only one Indian restaurant apparently in all of Wexford town. Never had an Indian meal quite like it. It was the worst meal we have had in a long time. A few pieces of chicken thrown into a can of tomatoes was basically the chicken tikka masala and the chilli chicken. Disappointing is an understatement . My husband and I booked tickets for the elvis show in Wexford opera house (which was fantastic ) and we left our hotel which was packed to have an Indian meal . Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Beware .

We booked a table on a Friday for 9pm .The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived. Three tables were occupied including ours, there were no newcomers while we were there - we left at 10.30pm! The food was only just ok. Bland sauces and the dahl was to all intents and purposes a bowl of slop. We have visited many Indian restaurants in our time and this one was not up to the standard to which we have become accustomed. Food was not of the best quality, however the portions were quite generous. Service was fine but the atmosphere was sadly lacking. Would not be in a hurry to return.

First time here and will be definitely going back, food was excellent and a few different dishes to the norm. Owner/Manager very nice and helpful although very interested in the group of young girls in & gave them his undivided attention but equally when we needed it we got it too. Great spot

Visited on a Friday night, the food was very good, the chef accommodated a food allergy in the group with no problems, good value and good service. The decor is modern and clean with a relaxed atmosphere.

I've visited here before with girlfriends, my partner is a huge fan of real Indian food, I took him here last night to see what he thought, he was really impressed, and as we were out walking half way up a mountain today he started smiling away to himself when I asked why he was smiling, he said he couldn't wait to get back, I thought he meant home he actually meant to Spice Restaurant, Just a great atmosphere, the food is amazing, and I have to say the staff could give lessons on how clientele should be treated. Thank you for a great night.

On a family weekend away six of us ate here as a replacement for the closed down Mukut restaurant. The atmoshphere is pleasant, good service but the food was quite average, the sauces were quite bland and the nan bread only arrived after we had finished our dinner! Unfortunately we could not find another Indian in Wexford city so maybe that explains the quality of the food - no competition. It was quite empty as well for a Friday night. Not impressed

Visited Spice as my partner wanted Indian, and I wanted a steak! What a find, Spice was able to provide both, the service was warm and very hospitable, and the wine list was very reasonably priced! Both dishes of the Steak and the Chicken Passanda were cooked perfectly and the Mango Moose to finish was superb. I would highly recommend Spice to anyone visting Wexford!

Had the early bird here while visiting for a long weekend in Wexford. Had the platter which pretty good. Followed by the Goan fish curry which was superb. Finished with an indian dessert of deep fried pancakes with dates which to my surprise was superb. I like to try new things but thought this would not be nice Was very quiet with only 2 other couples there the whole time we were there

We visited this restaurant as a couple on a busy saturday night. To be honest, we just went on a whim, as another place we intended to go was booked up. Happily though, we were both v. impressed with the meal we had in Spice. The atmosphere was cosy, but a bit on the hectic side. The waiters could afford to walk around a little slower on the wooden floors. We went for a set meal which was priced fairly, and the hostess let us choose two mains that were not as standard- so that was a nice touch. The starters of chicken tikka and samosas tasted extremely fresh, and came with a gorgeous mango chutney. After a wait a little longer than we would of liked, our mains arrived. Thankfully, they were gorgeous. My partner really rated his lamb biryani as the best he ever had. I too enjoyed my curry dish , and the garlic naan bread was the best we've ever had too! Overall, the food was truely excellent, the flavours were fresh, and the lamb was melt in the mouth. This restaurant is an extremely impressive Indian, and would satisfy regulars of indian food, along with more conventional tastes. I'd expect this restaurant to grow from strength to strength, if they hang on to their chef!

Stunning indian food and really attentive and relaxed service, i rarely use these sites but was so impressed with the quality of food and the up market decor I feel compelled to write a review. I had the chilli squid and goan fish curry, which was stunning!! The fish was cooked to perfection and spiced exactly the way i wanted it, it was so refreshing to eat indian food that tasted so authentic and not the usual greasy dishes you get in most 'curry houses', this place is more a fine dining restaurant, everything tasted fresh and was clearly made to order. The home made breads were superb and the choice of wines and general atmosphere were remenicant of the bombay bicycle club back home in the UK, I would recommend this place to anyone, with a great pub below the restaurant we had a really great night,
