The Michelin recommended Greenacres Restaurants is one of the most popular in the South East.

It is located on the ground floor, surrounded by shelves of the world’s finest wines. The ambience is friendly, relaxed and is enhanced by the helpful service of a very efficient staff.

The food is prepared under the watchful eye of local Chef Ritchie Trapp and as Wexford is both an agricultural and maritime hinterland, our supplies are sourced locally.

The award winning wine list which has been assembled by James O’Connor and Donal Morris is the most extensive in the Country and offers both value, and outstanding quality.

A group of ten of us went to Greenacres. We were all fairly pleased with our meals but agreed the portions were a little on the small size. My pork steak was dry too. The manager who assisted our table forgot the first bottle of wine ordered and proceeded to serve the other wine ahead of it. Even though we had availed of the early bird offers our bill came laid out as if we had gone a la carte. When we drew attention to this there was much delay having it sorted out. We were sitting around waiting. It would have been good practice to offer everyone an after dinner drink in lieu. This did not happen and the waiter showed no remorse. It put a damper on the end of the evening. The bill was overshot by nearly 70 euro!!

Lovely set menu. 4 courses for 30. Had a selection of starters to begin. 3 of the 4 starters were very nice but there was a mushroom tart that felt and tasted shop bought rather than fresh made. Had a herb crusted crab for mains and it was genuinely exquisite. Couldn't say enough good about it. Nearly licked the dish it came in clean. The cheeseboard to finish was a disappointment however, the cheeses felt like they came straight out of a fridge and the soft cheese took about 10 minutes to soften and the chutney tasted like it was slightly burned and as if there was too much balsamic in it. A couple of absolutely minor issues though, but overall an excellent dining experience and a must if you're a fan of wine. The place had a biblical amount of the stuff for sale.

Since our last visit to Greenacres, a lot has changed. Layout of restaurant is different as are the staff. The food, thankfully is just as good but the portions are quite small and represented poor value for money in our opinion. We had made a reservation and arrived at the appointed time only to be left standing with our coats still on, and staff rushing around totally avoiding any eye contact whatsoever. We stood for around 10 minutes and eventually a waiter looked at us and said "are you leaving or arriving". We told him we had reserved a table and he indicated a table and left us to it. Having waited a considerable amount of time I caught his eye and asked for some menus and a wine list which were put on the table without a word. He came back and we ordered some wine only to be told "we don't have it" and he walked off - no alternatives offered. We eventually ordered wine that they did have and placed an order for our food. We didn't have a starter and ordered mains of fish and duck both of which were nicely cooked and very tasty. We were completely ignored after that - no one asked if we were happy with our food and when the plates were cleared we were not asked if we wanted dessert, tea or coffee. As is happened, we didn't. We paid the bill and left, feeling invisible. The level of service could be summed up in one word - INDIFFERENT and despite the tasty food, we would be reluctant to return anytime soon.

attended a wine tasting dinner featuring Dr Burklin Wolf wines. to start there was lobster ravioli with roast butternut squash and prawn bisque paired with Dr Burklin Wolf Ruppertsberger Riesling Trocken 2012. the main was Braised lamb rump with spiced lamb rib, slow cooked tomatoe and broad bean puree, this was paired with Dr Burklin Wolf Pfalz Pinot Noir Trocken 2010, now that is a find the lamb was out of this world and the wine was a gem of a find. next came a selection of cheese which comprised of munster, comte, St. Maure and Cont L'Eveque accompanied by Dr Burklin Wolf Wachenheimer Gerumpel Riesling Trocken 2012. and finnaly desert wow !!! Steamed Almond and white chocolate pudding served with blackberry, preserved lemon compote and almond ice cream this was paired with Dr Burklin Wolf Ruppertsberger Riesling Auslese 2010. A fantastic dinner and all for the excellant value of €50 per person. The wine dinners take place each month so watch their web page for details, well worth a visit.

Have just moved to Wexford and decided to have dinner in Greenacres Bistro. Very glad we did. We just had main courses - moist stuffed sliced chicken, the stuffing was amazing and served with a fab sauce - possibly the best chicken I have eaten, and an absolutely delicious fish dish - sea bass fillets. Both meals were accompanied by beautifully creamed potato and perfectly cooked green beans and swede. Staff were polite courteous and super efficient. Will most definitely be back soon! Fantastic restaurant.

I went for my first visit to the Greenacres Bistro, the staff were exceptionally friendly and very efficient. The menu was not overcrowded with too many meals, which was great for a very indecisive person like myself. I ordered the Quiche which was freshly made with great ingredients, was absolutely fabulous and tasted gorgeous, was nicely presented with a side salad and dressing and a chutney. Would recommend to anybody. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience and the food.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Greenacres on a January Saturday afternoon. It was fairly busy, but staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The menue was 'blackboard', and everything was just soooo fresh and delicious. I had a striploin steak with salad and fries. Perfectly cooked to my request [medium rare] with ypepper sauce [in ramekin] which tasted freshly made, crisp fries and a very fresh salad with some black olives. My partner had sea bass which he declared was 'perfect'. We shared the €5 deal of dessert and coffee which was a custard fruit tart and cream. again, beautifully cooked and presented. Two glasses of wine were good value for quality. We wll be back!

We had lunch recently which was a pleasant experience especially on a saturday afternoon when everywhere is quiet busy. The staff showed us to our seats and pointed out the specials. They gave us appropriate time to look at the menu. I had the cesar salad and my husband had the mussels and fries. Odd combination but he was in heaven. The food was excellent including the amount and quality. The only thing I would say its not as child friendly as I would have liked. We had a 5 yr old with us who was diabetic and unfortunately there were no suitable child drinks even fruit shoots or something like that. So we had to settle for water.

Jacques Bistro in Greenacres Wexford was a real treat, its been a long time since I enjoyed a meal with such great service and value for money. From the minute we made our reservation on their trendy website we felt looked after....I had the most wonderful dinner with my family and tasted the most exquisite fine wines with every course of the meal. Never have the recommended wines matched the food so well!! Its fine dining at Bistro prices for sure, Greenacres Bistro has the right recipe for a Customer Experience and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We'll be back for sure because we have to bring our friends to such a wonderful place. We ended the evening browsing Greenacres Art Galleries and of course we brought away with us some fine wine for our Hotel room :-) Congrats to all at Greenacres. 10/10. We can only recommend to try it for yourself!!

This is a top class restaurant and as good as the best in Ireland. Great menu and exceptional specials. Very helpful staff, knowledgeable on the food and the wine. You can choose from the excellent wine list or choose any wine for the vast collection in the store and pay only €5 corkage. Other restuarants should take note. You should find an excuse to visit Wexford just to eat in this restaurant. Will be back early in the new year.
