I can't tell you how wonderful this place is. The queues waiting to be served says it all and believe me it's worth the wait. Friendly, homely, Country atmosphere with delicious wholesome food served piping hot and plenty of it too. Fresh Veg and a wide variety of meat dishes to choose from ensures there's something for everyone. Friendly, helpful staff make it a pleasure to Dine here. You can even watch the television while eating if you choose to do so. Can't wait to go again. Top of the list for me and reasonable too.

We ordered soup and a cajun wrap in the Tea Room during an emergency stop for food. The Tea Rooms were empty when we came in, the floor was in desperate need of a hoover and the place had a general grubby air about it. We thought we couldn't go wrong with our food order but the soup was so thick we surmised that perhaps it had been thickened with a whole box full of cornflour. I felt ill after a few mouthfuls. The cajun wrap was drowning in some kind of packet sweet and sour type sauce and had a bucket load of dried herbs mixed in. It could only be described as revolting. We had a couple of bites and left even though we were starving. The waitress was nice though!

This is pretty old school & seems to deliver what the majority want. When you walk in the smell of grease (ie deep fat frying) hits you in the face & is pretty much an indication of what's available on the menu. It seems to be stuck in the 1980's. The service is fast & friendly even when they are really busy which is great. A revamp of the menu would be wonderful but maybe their reckoning is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". As a veggie & someone who eats healthily there is not much for me here at all. It has a nice local, cosy feel if you can block out the tv's that are constantly on.

Was here for a last minute dinner decision. Was delighted by the friendly service. The food was fantastic and so plentiful we couldn't finish it all. The garlic mushroom starters where a sight to behold and a taste experience never before had. The mains where cooked to perfection with plenty of veg leaving absolutely no room for desert (and i love my sweet tooth) Would recommend with out hesitation. Can't wait to head back down to try out their lunch menu. Enjoy people.
