I stayed here with a group of golfers and ate on the first night in the bar. There was a good choice of food and my steak, although a little rare for medium/rare, was good. We had a reasonably priced Rioja to with it, which was very palatable. The waiter brought us all a trio of desserts, which was just enough to round off the meal perfectly. On the following night we had a dinner in the restaurant (included in the hotel price). I started with a smoked chicken caesar salad - very tasty. For the main course, I had the roast lamb, which was delicious and very tender. It was accompanied by a good selection of vegetables (including lovely garlic potatoes). The berry and apple crumble to finish was divine. The only downside for everyone who had the lamb was that it came on a bed of mashed potato. Either everyone in the kitchen had salted the potatoes at some point or the lid had come off the container when shaking it in. It was so salty it was inedible. However, the rest of the meal was so enjoyable that this oversight was forgiven. The service on both nights was excellent.
