I had quite a nice meal here over Christmas. I started with bruschetta, which was really tasty and just the right size. The chicken dish I chose for my main was quite dry unfortunately, but it came with some lovely sides which I really enjoyed. I went for a hot chocolate instead of dessert, which could have been a little hotter. However the staff were lovely and service very efficient.

We were dining on a package, so had a somewhat limited menu. The starter of brie was nice, but the chicken and mushroom bouchee wasn’t very appetising. It looked a bit like a can of mushroom soup with a bit of chicken thrown in poured over a vol-au-vent. For main I had the stir fried beef with noodles and my companion had salmon both of which were good. We didn’t need the side orders that came with the meal as there was plenty of food. The waitress put us off the medley for dessert, so we opted instead for fresh fruit salad, which was mostly melon – we should have gone for the medley! For a four star hotel I expected the food to be a little better.

Stayed in the hotel and had a 3 course meal included. I had Brie Cheese to start and Fillet of Chicken Stuffed with Chorizo for main both were beautiful and my partner had Chicken & Forest Mushroom Bouchee starter and the fillet start. The steak was amazing, very tender. And apple crumble to finish off. The food was lovely and more than ample. All the staff were really nice and helpful. However the kitchen lost our ticket and we had to wait a long time or our mains. It was thankfully worth the wait. They had a piano, which I think created a lovely atmosphere.

My self and my family (8adults and 2 children) I stayed at the hotel for the weekend and our stay included dinner on 1 night. We had the had a variety of starters ranging from Chicken & Mushroom Bouchee - in Flaky Pastry with a Tarragon & Chardonnay Cream Sauce, which I had personally steered away from thinking it was just going to be your average vol au vont, however having eaten my mothers it proved to be much more! Also ordered by the group was the smoked salmon, the chowder and the soup nothing was a disappointment! Next for main course we ordered a range from the Rib eye, the lamb which was beautiful however we all agreed that the Chicken chorizo was the beat main dish. In conclusion the food was excellent especially considering it was part of a weekend deal. The staff are wonderful very accommodating especially with children. My 13th month old son particularly enjoyed both is soup and his chicken and potatoes.

I stayed at the hotel for the weekend and my stay included dinner on 1 night. We had the seafood chowder and pear and cheese salad to start. The chowder was fantastic and the salad was ok- was surprised that the cheese had been melted as I havent had it served like this before. For main course we both had the Sea Bass and it was delicious- the nicest seafood I have eaten in some time. Desserts were average. The best thing about the meal was the main course and the really good service- the staff were very smiley and attentive. I thought the piano player created a nice atmosphere too.
