Arrived here having searched the main street of Mullingar for somewhere reasonable for a bite to eat. Nice choice of hot and cold snacks (pastries, pies, cakes, bakes and baked potatoes etc). I ordered a slice of quiche, my husband ordered the chicken and brocolli bake, one son ordered a sausage roll (the other was too tired to eat)and we also ordered two coffees and a can of 7up and a bottle of Lucozade. We ate upstairs - small but cosy. Our food was brought up to us hot and with side salads and was delicious - empty plates all round. The kids then decided they would like dessert so one had a massive fruit meringue and the other has apple pie and cream while my husband had another coffee. All served by very pleasant chatty staff. Total bill very reasonable at €23. Pity we were only passing through as this kind of place is all too rare.
