This seems to be a very popular restaurant with families, there were several there on the Sunday evening we were there. The food is ok, nothing spectacular really, good value though. I had the Seafood Chowder, which was deliciously creamy, my other half had potato skins, which he enjoyed too. For mains, I had chicken fajitas. The chicken and veg was fine, the guacamole looked a bit grey and there were only 2 tortillas to wrap the chicken & veg in. The "sour cream" was, I suspect, actually creme freche, which was a tad watery. On a very hot day, the water jug had no ice so was tepid, a small detail that would have made a big difference. The tea and latte arrived BEFORE the dessert, a gripe I have with an awful lot of restaurants. I had chocolate cake, the base tasted a bit stale if I'm honest. I can see why it appeals to family, there is great choice and it is good value, just not exactly a fine dining experience!

Excellent chowder as described on the menu and a tasy wrap with nice salad all organised by friendly gentleman made this a very nice snack stop indeed.

Good coffee, good steaks, huge place (pre-Celtic tiger demise lease at a guess) and somewhat barn like. I would suggest meat options here, the chef is good on roasts, lamb usually good. Portions are good as well, and the coffee is decent. Not a romantic date location, but reliable if lacking in atmosphere.
