Interlude opened its doors in October 1998. The ethos of the restaurnat is simple: "To serve locally produced food, which is handled simply with minimum of fuss"

We are passionate about supporting local and artisan producers of which there is an abundance in the region.

Take a look at our sample menus here to get an idea of the sort of dishes we prepare here at Interlude.

Weird knobbly furniture and indie music gives this Irish–European quayfront cafe an underground vibe.

nice menu, light and salad based, very good coffee, lovely views and location, staff need to engage more with customers. Spend some money on training and its the full package.

This is a really nice restaurant and we will be back again. There is a really nice atmosphere in the restauruant. However, there are two areas of improvement. 1. Some of the staff could be better trained. (Common opinion amongst other reviewera) 2. The beer prices are very expensive compared to other restaurants and are much more expensive than the pubs.

well run restaurant. staff are prompt and helpful. food is lovely - a little pricey perhaps. Would definitely recommend the pizza - its really good and could be shared if you like smaller meals. My only reservation with here is the seating - its hit and miss.

In days of a recession, this is a must for place to eat, good wholesome food, you dont leave the table hungry, exceptional value for money, lovely timber tables, so that relaxed ambiance, we had party of about 16 recently and they looked after us very well, i would sum them up as good food at a reasonable price, which is what i look for when i go for a meal. Its our 10th wedding anniversary this weekend so i knew to book online as i know thats where my husband would be most satisfied after his meal, and you knwo the men!!!!!

This is a nice place for some lunch, their salads are always delicious & definately a meal in itself. On the last occasion that i visited i had the fish cakes which were very tasty, however there were a few bones in them which was a little disappointing, still enjoyable though. I also had a portion of potato wedges & these were lovely as were the accompaning dips. I shared a banoffi pie for dessert & it was delicious. The coffee was also nice. A small negative was the service which was fine but not very friendly. Also we both ordered a portion of wedges but when they arrived the portions were huge so a suggestion of one to share between two would have been nice. Overall a good experience & would recommend.

Good buzz in this place. Not much choice on the menu but food was good. I had a homemade chicken burger with wedges and finished with the chocolate cake. More likely to return for the atmosphere than the food though!

some very nice light food marred by poor delivery. Staff not well trained but generally enthusiastic. Nice Mediterranean influenced menu, snacky, great coffee, just needs consistent service quality to turn into a very recommendable place. The salads are good, the chocolate muffins are great.
