We visited on a week-night, when there was only one other table occupied. The atmosphere was therefore not brilliant, and the room quite cool. Starters were nothing too exceptional but the homemade bread was divine, maincourses (pork loin) plentiful and tasty. Dessert menu included cheeses (well presented and not too much of it, served with a pear chutney) and the usual puddings. Being quite far away from anywhere, the overall experience was ok....

Ate here with a large group and the food was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed it. Before the meal we were welcomed, offered drinks and then given a shot glass of delicious parsnip soup and a selection of tasty breads.I had quail for starters, hadn't had it before so wanted to try it and it presented in a lovely salad. The steak and vegetables were perfect and I went for a selection of dessert at the end. You couldn't go wrong with any of them. It was a lovely night, we booked early, so the atmosphere wasn't there just yet. Staff were great. It is good value for the quality of the food you get. Pity I live so far away!

We went there a few weeks back. We waited in the louge upon arrival had a drank and ordered our food. The atmosphere was extrememly relaxing from the minute we entered. The food was top quality, I had the steak while my girfriend has the fish. The staff were extremely nice and looked after our ever need without interfering too much. Throughly enjoyed the evening there and will definitely be back again!
