My first time eating here so I rang ahead to check if they catered for gluten free. I was assured that they did. I ordered what they recommended to be the best option for me only to discover after eating some of it that it wasn't gluten free. After triple checking about it I was told that my food had been fried at a very high temperature so the gluten would be removed. High temperatures do not remove gluten. A week later I'm in bed still paying the price

This was one of the most charming places with serious character that I have ever eaten in. A beautifully restored thatched complex comprising of a main bar and a tastefully decorated restaurant. To start we were greeted by a freindly member of staff who advised us to have a drink on the terrace to read our menus. I chose a homemade soup option which was very much homemade tasty and full of fresh vegetables and a portion of brown homemade bread. I then had the fillet of beef perfectly cooked to perfection accompanied by oven roasted vegetables and a delicious gravy. The mash maybe a little too much for me but the meat was sensational. I rounded off with a chocolate and pistachio mousse absoulutley divine finished off with a proper espresso served by a chirpy chatty barman. I will be back.
