I was waiting for friends to arrive and had some time to kill so I had a stroll through town with my dog. As it was a warm day and my dog is just a small pug he tired out quickly and needed a drink of water. I sat down outside as it a big no no in most restaurants to bring a dog in. Through the window a waiter watched me sitting down and I waved to him as a greeting and signal that I wanted to order but he ignored me for at least 10 minutes. When he finally arrived with a menu I told him I only wanted to have a coffee and a bowl of water for my dog. He was very abrupt and refused straight away to bring the water because they cannot use the same dishes for humans and dogs. I suggested maybe he can find any old plastic dish or whatever container to bring the badly needed water but he didn't want to hear any of it and disappeared. After a while a female staff member arrived with the coffee and she was very friendly, maybe a little bit too friendly so it was obvious that they had second thoughts about me and my dog as it maybe a sort of a test. She also brought water for my pug and this at least finished my first and definitely last stay at this place.

4 of us went there on Monday Bank Holiday. We did not like the atmosphere and interior (oilcloth on the table) straight away, but we thought to give it a credit. The female waiter came with a menu, and then came back about 15 minutes later, after we gave her a sigh that we were ready to order. One of us wanted fish, but apparently apart of being in the menu there was none. The rest of the early bird menu was just chicken and pasta. The waiter could not explain that with proper courtesy, using words like: "sorry, we dont have fish" or "would you like to order something else". She behave with absolutely no manners, what so ever. Nearly had an argument with us - customers. !! In the middle of the conversation she left us for another customer. We left without resigning from the order and went to a lovely Chinese restaurant with a friendly staff around the corner.

I cannot get over the ignorance and incompetence of a male member of staff. We asked for water numerous times and after 30 minutes waiting he SNAPPED at us that was asked him for it 2 minutes ago and begrugingly brought it out to us. We waited 40 minutes to be served, not once did he ask if we required corkage/bottle openers or a wine cooler. There was 30 minute wait between starter and main in which he served other people and it was ridiculous. I will NEVER attend such a place again and I swear to god I would avoid at all costs. The only thing enjoyable about this was the food being tasty!

Has to be my favourite place in the town. There Pollo Funghi pasta is gorgeous i get it every time i go in there without fail and they also do lovely garlic bread, good value during the day but the prices get fairy steep in the evening. One big plus is that you can bring your own drink in!
