This restaurant is one of my favourites in the country. Everything is always wonderful here! The food is magnificent, the service is fantastic and the atmosphere and lay-out are better than 99% of other restaurants. The food is always to dye for, whether you get it from the carvery or off the menu, and is great value too. Thanks to all the staff!

Went here with my parents for a carvery on sunday. Huge portions of good old carvery roast dinner with a choice of beef, ham, turkey or as some of my family like, a combination of all! The place was buzzing with people and there was a nice atmosphere in the bar. Since its self-serve there is no service to speak of but table was cleared quickly after we had finished. My parents have eaten here a few times and always enjoy it - can't say I blame them. Great place for a quick, informal meal.

Just back from what was to be a romantic weekend break without the kids but should have just stay'd at home. Checekd into the room and were greeted with a wide open window.... didnt do much for the smell though. Being exhausted we decided to follow up with reception in the morning and sure enough after breakfast (which wasnt up to much) we were greeted with a plug in air freshner. Not being the fussiest we decided that if that was the only problem all would be ok. Dinner Saturday night was unreal, seated at 7pm we got the starters at 8:15, of which the salad had to be sent back (no bacon) the rare steak and pork arrived at 8:45 and to be honest the steak looked and tasted as if it had been burnt, boiled and then deep fat fried, never saw the like of it. Sent it back to the kitchen (manageress insisted on sending both main courses back) and at 9:20 received both anew. This time the steak was just boiled and deep fat fried (not burnt) but tasted proper nasty. The pork however received the brunt of the flames and was burnt to an inch of its life, Ate what we could and called it a night. Ironically we were just about to leave the resturaunt when the manager came over to ask how the 2nd go at the man course went, for some reason this coincided with the main klights coming on and the full damage doe to the remainder of the pork and steak by whoever was "cooking" in the kitchen was all too aparant, in fairness the manager appeared taken aback by the state of the meals served to us. Had aranged for a late checkout (3pm) in lieu of a third nights stay in the hotel and the reception staff were "kind" enough to call our room at 12am and wake us to tell us it was time to check out, not quite sure what was said to them but it wasnt "thanks"! All in all a waste of money, but worse still a rare opportunity to spend a weekend away from the kids was wasted on this excuse for a hotel. No doubt the liquidators are twitching already......

I have been to this restaurant many times and decided to treat himself as i have always enjoyed the food here. After being brought to the table, we were left waiting for what felt like a long time. There didn't seem to be appropriate staffing levels this night in particular. Eventually himself went to the bar to get our drinks. At this time, I had to get the waiters attention to come over to the table and take our food order :-( I must say however that the food tasted great and we both enjoyed what we got, soup and rack of lamb for myself, a feast of garlic mushrooms and peppered steak for himself. Really couldn't fault the food and would definitely return.

I recently dined in the Bridge House Restaurant in Tullamore and I have to say that it was one of the best meals I have had out. I got the Bridge House Steak and my husband had the salmon, Both were mouth watering, and the service was second to none. The restaurant was buzzing and afterwards we stayed on for a drink in the bar where there was live entertainment! The Bridge House has a lot going on, we didn't realize that its also a hotel, so next time we might make a night of it! I would recommend booking though, as seems busy enough at the weekends.
