Lovely place...food order was taken efficiently however the server lacked in warmth however this could be due to the language barrier....the food was lovely...however I was not happy with the chips being served in one bowl for two people....I prefer to have my own bowl and not having to divide out the chips....otherwise delicious food and a nice place to have dinner

The restaurant is big and quirky with 2000 odd baseball caps hanging from every inch of ceiling space. We we early-ish for lunch on a Monday and were greeted by a pleasant guy with loads of chat. Our order was taken promptly and the food arrived without too much delay despite the fact that we skipped starters. My husband said his rib-eye steak was delicious and he liked the sauteed onions in a little ramekin. I can testify that his chips were crisp and tasty too. I had the Thai beef salad and the beef was tender with a very moreish chili sauce. It was served on a very artistically arranged salad with loads of fresh ingredients. I was surprised to find olives in a Thai salad but I love olives so I ate them. The only small fault was the wait for the dessert. I had already finished my coffee before it appeared. The fresh fruit salad was fresh and had a nice selection of seasonal fruit. It was served with whipped ice-cream in a chocolate cup topped with a Malteaser and it looked very nice on the plate. We paid €41.50. for 2 mains, a dessert and a coffee which might seem a bit dear for lunch but it was all excellent and we considered it good value for money.

What a fantastic place, we found it by accident coming back from Newgrange, It was the best bar food that I have had in a long time. Even though they were very busy, the service was excellent & food was fantastic

Wow was in Ashbourne working for a few days and found this place on the internet. What a find, have had lunch here every day this week. Made the mistake of ordering 3 courses the 1st day, had to be rolled out of the place but every course was delicious. I've tried something different every day and haven't been disappointed, even the cold meat salad is fab and huge! Desserts are to die for but I challenge you to finish it. If you're going to Tayto Park this place is a must.

Hadn’t been here for a while and won’t be in a hurry to return. The food & prices are average, the service very mixed. My main course was served & they had forgotten about my starter but still tried to charge me for it. Most of the food is processed/pre packaged, the chips were cold and portion sizes on the meager side. My partner requested his steak medium – it was served extremely well done and barely edible. Coffee was weak and luke warm As a pub it is good but give it a miss as a restaurant
