I really enjoyed my visit to umaji restaurant it was a unique experience as we were the only people in the restaurant. I liked the atmosphere and the view of the countryside out the window beside our table. I had teriyaki which was delicious and very healthy as loads of vegetables came with the meal! the only drawback is that the menu is quite small with not much choice

I visited this relatively new restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. We arrived early on a Saturday evening, and were the only people dining in the small and pleasant eatery. The friendly Japanese chef took our order, cooked our food and served it to us. He was chatty and made us feel very welcome. We had a sashimi dish to start, which included an assortment of high quality, tasty fish, which was very nicely presented. This was followed by norimaki rolls, which were delicious. When we finished our main courses, the chef served us with a refreshing fresh orange segments, which topped off the meal nicely. This is a simple restaurant, with a nice menu, and friendly atmosphere. The great food comes at really cheap prices, and is a must-visit for lovers of Japanese cuisine. I look forward to visiting Umaji again next month, with a large group of girl friends. We will be staying overnight in the B&B (in which Umaji is located), and availing of the sauna, hot tub and karaoke which are all provided there.
