Welcome to EL Toro Loco. (The Crazy Bull) We sincerely hope that you enjoy your meal with us. EL Toro Loco opened its doors in autumn 2010. We aim to become the best Steak and Grill restaurant serving Tex-Mex food in Leinster. To achieve this we have searched exhaustively to secure the best suppliers for our ingredients. Many of our supplies are located internationally in the United Kingdom, Republic of Mexico, Argentina and Spain so we ensure that the best ingredients are used in the preparation of our dishes. We serve only Irish Hereford dry aged Beef, Which is hung for a minimum 35 days, thus giving a level of tenderness and flavour in our steaks which is second to none.

We are especially proud of our Grill as it is an open flame charcoal grill and Broiler which serves up the most beautiful cooked meals and barbequed dishes. Why not try our flavour filled burritos, fajitas or chilli con carne. Mexico is a beautiful wild country full of passion and excitement. The food is amazing full of flavour and honesty. El Toro Loco believes that the Irish palate will love this food so be adventurous and give it a go!

Our staff will always ask you “Hot or not”. You decide As a customer orientated Irish family run business we appreciate your feedback so if anything is not up to your expectations please let us know. We are only as good as your last meal.

Buen apetito!

Had the early Bird that was about the only thing about this place that was OK, when is it exceptionable to leave a kid screaming and not try to calm it down. The only request I had they didn't do, the waitress was no wine expert, the decor of Mexican and western with pop music in the back round don't blend to well.Hairy chicken wings and tiny Mozzarella sticks. What's the point of iceberg lettuce, tomato and onion on a plate with no dressing? We went there on a great review from the local paper by a very Famous Restaurant critic, they must have recognized him. What a mistake.

I love mexican food so was delighted when it opened up close to me but what a total let down abolutely dire!!! Only good this is the friendly waitresses but that score for service is totally for the most obnoxious, rude and ignorant waiter I ever met!! One couple asked could they change table due to the draft and he said yes to another restaurant maybe and walked off!! The food took ages, we were there for over 2 hrs for starters and mains for 2, the place was baltic my partner wore her coat for the duration and the food was bad except the fajitias. If you say the sauce is atomic in heat please please make it that way I have had milk with more of a kick!! The ribs are over roasted, not basted in any sauce and the sauce is sickening!! And I am not been picky as 2 guys I work with happened to be there too and both agreed!!

I was at this restaurant on Saturday night and it was lovely. The staff were really nice and the food was gorgeous. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed what we got. The mozzarella sticks are yummy and the tacos are to die for. They even have different levels of spicy! We all said that we will definitely be back for more. Not bad either pricewise... 35 a head with a bottle of wine is not bad at all for 3 courses on a Saturday night..

I read the other reviews and was unsure about this restaurant but delighted that I went. we had a group of 12 and everyone loved it. We went early in the evening on a sat and this is a very child friendly place. Food was vgood and I cant believe that they can serve that quality food for the price. service is great too. it was very full too.

I wasn't going to post this review as I'm not sure if its fair to judge somewhere on a take away dish but then again I'm a paying customer so my review should be posted. I ordered burritos and chicken wings here and everything was just ok. The sauce which was meant to be included was left out and I got extremely mild chicken wings after asking for the extremely hot ones. I did get a free can of coke which was a plus but I'm not rushing back to be honest.

Dont know what these guys are trying to serve here. No one in our party enjoyed, the chicken wings were a joke. The service was very very slow and the staff very very rude. Place had a nice atmosphere but most people seemed to be like us, waiting on their food. Guys get better staff, and that includes your chef. Place has no romance about it, i defo wouldnt want to have a romantic night here, very bright. Dont know why they are not using the front of the building, shame really.

dined here last week. Wont be returning after the service and food we received. Food is cooked far from fresh and i wounder have the staff ever dined out in their lives, i mean they have no idea how to treat customers and very little manners. They seem to be too tired running up and down the stairs to the kitchen. If i didnt have to pay for the useless service and food i received i would have laughed at this place. Dont think it will last, not in this environment.

My expierance was pretty much like the last two reviewers. Children screaming, in fairness if your taking your children to dinner at least put some manners on them or the staff should not allow them to run around. They had a play area for the children, i felt i was in the zoo. Between the staff not knowing what they are doing and the owner been rude, a trip to the zoo mite have been more enjoyable. Guys your never going to last if ye dont change things and yer attitude to your customers, maybe the restaurant trade is not your thing, perhaps a child play center. My steak was not cooked med rare, and the waitress had an arguement with me that it was. Customer is always right.

El Toro Loco???? Its been open a while, heard mixed reviews but taught it was time we tryed it. Mexican in Navan...sounds interesting and menu reads well. We arrived for our table, its a big building, had to walk all the way to the back of the room, this is where the restaurant is, a lot of screaming kids, not what u want on your night out, a lady and her husband passed us on their way out, making a comment 'Hope your not in a hurry'...we werent so we passed no remarks. Waited ages to be seated and the waitress just kept saying she was 'sorry'. Finally brought to our table, a bottle of still water on the table with a price tag on it....very cheap marketing. We had brought our own wine and what looked like one of the owners served us, we advised we had our own wine, he grunted and didnt even open or pour it, E4.00 corkage for wine we opend ourselves and it was a screwcap. Ordered our food, I had Chicken wings, yuck, and my friend had the BBQ wings, she didnt eat either, again the waitress said she was 'sorry' and went on to explain that they were really busy and shorT staffed. Main courses Fajitas for me, can cook better at home tasteless and the beef was so over cooked. My friend had the Tacos, and eat most of them. Topped up our wine our selves. Got the bill with the waitress saying 'Sorry' again for the slow service, 2.5hrs later left feeling like i had been robbed. El Toro Loco (The Crazy Bull) more like 'The Mad Cow'. Would I return....NO!

Not a great atmosphere, but was surprised to see a good few people sitting down for a meal. Screaming kids were a turn off but there is an area dedicated for them to play in. When we arrived we were greeted by plates being broken on the ground, but that can happen to anyone. Had a friendly greeting and were shown to our table. Tables and chairs were small and uncomfortable. Group next to us were leaving and said that hope you not in a hurry as the service was slow. Didn't like the lack of atmosphere and were tempted to leave, but what the heck we ordered a starter to see if it was good and then stay for the main course. Service was very slow. Order baked potato with cheese (very nice) + Ceasar Salad with chicken (awful salad was brown, croutons like stones, no dressing and chicken had a spicy covering Yuck). We didn't make excuses we paid our bill and left. Won't be going back again.

I went here 2 weeks in a row. The first week was so busy we had to wait 20 minutes for a table. I got the enchiladas. While they were nice, they were a little dry. That's the only complaint that I really had with my food. They give you very large portions. The second week I chose the fajitas. They were really nice and once again, the portion was so big that I couldn't finish. It might be wiser to not get a starter, but it's very difficult to bypass the loaded nachos as a starter!! The only thing that I would like to see changed is when you order a dish and they just pour the sauce all over the dish for you, as opposed to serving it on the side as an accompaniment. My friends got 2 different dishes and the sauce was poured on top of the dish for them. Sometimes it reminds me a little of a carvery when the sauce is poured on like that. The decor is lovely, it has a really nice mixture of random bits and pieces. The music was at a nice level too. The service was quick and the waitress was knowledgeable regarding the wines too.

Decided to try this place as heard good reports about it,but left disappointed. It was a while before we were seated as waitress was busy putting an order in till, she apologized which was fair enough. Waited few minutes to order and recieve drinks, which is fine as they were really busy. My starter arrived but was filled with beef, i ordered a chilli, may be i was not aware that in mexican chilli meant beef, Lesson learnt. I showed it to the waitress and she apologized for beef to be in my starter. Jalapenos wrapped were tasteless enough for me.Decided to pay and still seen the beef starter on the bill and i asked the waitress"Do u expect me to pay for it" and she replied yes as her boss has said there was nothing wrong with it. Sorry guys, really disappointed with our experince, it was total waste of money and time for us.
