Great welcome and we were remembered from our last visit in March. Lovely food served with fun and laughter.

One of the VERY BEST restaurants that the fragrant Mary & mise have been to in recent times. We were there recently to celebrate our 33 years of wedded happiness. An intimate place...right from the warm welcome afforded by our host Eva to all the staff...excellent-no superb fare all locally sourced I'm informed [including the complimentary schnapps]...good wine selection too...Wise to book [several would-be diners were unfortunately turned way that evening..we did ours on,one via...http://www.menupages.ie/…/wes…/sage_restaurant_mayo/reviews/ Roland

We were on weekend visit to Westport and eat here twice on the 4/3/16 and then on the 6/3/16. Both nights we had a lovely meal, the staff were very friendly and we were really looked after. Thank you everyone.

We had a lovely meal in Sage last night. The restaurant was busy but we weren't rushed, all the staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and wine.

My wife and I had dinner in Sage last Friday night and we both agreed that it was among the best meals we have eaten in Ireland this year. Everything from the breads to start to the petit fours ending was extremely good. the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, the wine was excellent. Overall a really good night, even the embarrassing moment when dessert arrived with a lighted candle and (it being my birthday) the singing of happy birthday. We'll be back.

Myself and my partner went to Westport on a midweek holiday. As we are both vegetarians this place caught our eye as They had a vegetarian menu. First off I felt the restaurant itself was very inviting with nice decor, We were shown the specials by a lovely waitress however when we inquired what the vegetarian soup was (advertised on the vegetarian menu) we were told there was none. This was a let down as there was a huge jump in cost of vegetarian starters with the next being almost 9e. We were then given a small 'bread platter' which was a nice touch. The wine was surprisingly well priced and we had a lovely bottle if Chardonnay. The vegetarian mains were delicious, I had spring rolls which were light yet filling and my partner had the tart which was one of the nicest I have ever tasted. We split a braklava for desert which was yummy. On ordering the bill we were given an after dinner shot if schnapps I believe it was? Very yummy. All I. All a great dinner and I would definitely return if in Mayo again, hopefully the next time though they have that veg soup!!

The best hake dinner I ever had. The vegetables were stunning. They make a great baileys coffee. The staff were all professional and super friendly. Lovely little restaurant with great Atmosphere.

Food was nice enough but not particularly oozing with flavour, potatoes & veg served with the meal was a little sparse. Nice décor, pleasant staff, wine was reasonably priced.

Absolutely stunning! Fantastic service, friendly staff, perfect food and a great wine list. What more could one want. We hadn't booked in advance either and we were accomodated no end. So glad we stumbled across this gem of a restaurant. We will oh most definitely be back the next time we are in Westport and will recommend Sage to everyone. Thank you for a splendid evening.

“Really happy from start to finish” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 7 October 2013 From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by a staff member who showed us to our seats by the window. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant, and an extensive variety of food options suitable for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike. We chose the early bird option €20 for two courses or 24.99 for three courses. The meals were beautifully presented with a delicious range of potatoes, vegetables, and garnish's. Every customer was made feel special. A completely selection of house breads were provided, one of which was see-weed bread, it was delicious! An apple shot was also completely. The staff were so well presented with a warm smile and tidy attire. It was my birthday, and I said to the ladies that were with me, don't buy me a present, create a memory. This restaurant they chose created a fantastic memory. I will defintely be returning with my extended family this time. Keep up the great work!!!
