Nice traditional home cooking at it’s best! The homemade scones which were on every table were delicious! The only thing is that the portion sizes are quite large so it’s quite easy to get full up before the main course has even arrived! For starters I went with the chicken and mushroom vol-au-vent which was very tasty. For main course I opted for the scallops which were cooked to perfection. My one criticism is that the side portion of veg with it was quite bland and consisted of carrots, cauliflower and red cabbage. The dessert portions were massive….I could only manage one spoonful of the cheesecake and no more. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and excellent service, I’d highly recommend it.
