An unusually lovely day, and we are meandering north along the coast. It's lunch time and we happen across the Waterside. It looked closed but wasn't, so in for bar food lunch. Surprisingly good food. The open prawn sandwich was excellent - huge prawns, clearly home made sauce and lovely bread. How often we see "gourmet home made burger" on a menu but then get something dredged out of a freezer. Not here! The burger was obviously home made and freshly prepared, and served with home made relish and great fries. Two really good coffees ended up a very good lunch. Sadly for the Waterside - we were the only customers that day!!

Had lunch in the Waterside today. Chose a table outside by the river, was a very pleasant experience. Soup of the day was delicious, the service was great, toilets were spotless. Well impressed and will definitely be back.
