So we were literally in Co. Louth to see a man about a dog. We were to meet him in Ardee so we parked opposite the Castle. We had some spare time so we walked up and down the road on both sides starting with the Castle side looking for somewhere to have lunch. Nowhere looked inviting even on the side streets. On the way back up towards the car and just about to give up we came across Sizzlers. We had a quick look at the menu in the window and agreed it sounded good. We were greeted by a very pleasant and friendly lady. We were allowed to sit wherever we wanted, so we chose to sit towards the back of the restaurant. The décor is cosy and I liked the sofa and tables idea on the left, and the TV . Food came out fast. I had the fish and chips and a coke, and I cant remember what wifey had but I remember she liked it. The batter on the fish was perfectly done, and perfectly crispy. We tipped the friendly woman in charge and left satisfied. If we are in Louth again we would definitely come back to Sizzlers.

Love the cakes here. Everytime I go in there is a different cheesecake, not the normal lemon or strawberry. There was a Rolo cheese cake last time I was there. I would usually get coffee and cake here. Cant beat it. Wireless internet access also in the cafe. I went for supper and got an omelette and chips. Very nice, The service is great, the staff are very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend popping in for a cuppa and cake if passing.

I tried out this new American style restaurant Sizzles in Drogheda the other week. The foods typical burgers, goujons etc but what I like is that you can get a fry all day, it’s priced well and the portions are very big (maybe to big!). The staff were great and really looked after our little one and even though she was not eating the kids meal she got the kids play mats and free toy, which was unexpected. Have the burger it’s massive, will go back.
