When we went I'm the place was deserted, however we (myself 2 adults and 2 children) took our seats and looked at the menu which looked quite good, however just awe were ready to order the barman/owner told us he had to go, so we would have to leave. And so promptly kicked us out. So the question of why they were empty was answered for me with such bad service and customer care it was obvious!

Visited for lunch with my mother who has a wheat allergy, staff were understanding and she was accommodated easily. Food was of a high quality, well cooked and nicely presented. Two types of potatoes available (in skin and dauphinoise). I was pleasently surprised, the lunch was well above the usual 'pub food' standard

Had lunch here with a friend. Service was extremely slow considering there were only 8 other people in the restaurant! The food was okay...ish. The place was very shabby with tables not cleaned etc and the seats looked really dirty. I would not be in a hurry back! Sorry!
