The Texas Steakout was established in 1988 and was originally intended as a novelty for the people of Limerick with its Wild West atmosphere, but quickly aspired to being one of the major tourist attractions of the city.

The Texas Steakout uses only the best and freshest local produce from Ireland's waters and land. Menus are prepared fresh daily by our award winning chefs.

We have an extensive selection of wines, from throughout the world, to compliment our food from our easy drinking house range through to our fine wine list which will satisfy even the most discerning connoisseur.

What a joke. First of all worst service I ever had in a resturant. 15 min for someone to show up to the table. Second forgot the appetizer. Third never checked back on us. Really, both me and girlfriend run area restaurants and we eat out a lot but never seen anything close to this. Let's get to the food side of this. If you consider this place a steak house. I expect the cheif to know how to cook temperature on the steak. I ask for medium and got a well done. My girlfriend asked for a rare and got a medium. The wine list is so limited and needs some updates. nAvoid this place. There is a lot of other great choices in the area.

I absolutely love the food in this restaurant but hate the way the waiting staff run around - its as if they want you in and fed and gone again in order to fill your seat. For me going out to dinner lasts a couple of hours but in the Texas its not always possible. Pricey enough too, but value for money, in my opinion.

We ordered 2 steaks cooked well done and got them red so sent them back and when they came back out they were burnt. Not only was there a smell of burn off them but we couldn't even put the fork through them. We didn't eat them and left, very very disappointed.

We had booked a table via menupages and when we arrived a little early, our table was ready. The restaurant was busy, being a Saturday night, and there was a great vibe! It was definitely a little too warm inside and I gathered it was because it was full to the brim. My husband and I were not over hungry, so we decided to share nachos for starters and the Mexican Combo for two. This consisted of chicken chimangas, chicken and beef fajitas and beef tacos. It came with a selection of sauces, tortilla wraps and a small portion of Mexican rice. The menu had a great selection of burgers and steaks for the hungry!!! We got a bucket of beer (6 mixed for 20 euro) and we asked for Corona which wasn't listed for the bucket deal. The waiter gladly obliged which was brilliant. We had no room left for dessert or tea/coffee. The bill came to a modest 53 euro. We would return and recommend this restaurant.

Booked a table for two as we felt we deserved a fine stake as a nice treat on a Saturday night, We were not disappointed. As always it was truly succelent, cooked to perfection and not at all bad value for money. Accompanied by a lovely bottle of red the whole evening was memorable. Service was good for a very busy evening where the staff were run off thier feet, but always smiled and acknowledged us. The deserts were so hard to choose as all seemed nicer than the next and when they arrived they were pefection. A great evening in a perfect city cente location.
