I had not been to this restaurant in over a year. My friend and I were looking for somewhere to have a sandwich and soup and went in to try Chocolat. I ordered the chicken in pesto roll which came with a mug of soup and a portion of chips. My friend had the same and it was just the nicest roll I must say that I had in a long time. It was so filling that I did not even get to have my soup. The deal came with tea or coffee as well. It was only €8.95 p/p for all that food. Really enjoyed and will be back another lunch time.

Had Sunday lunch, we were seated without a reservation, nice table, good service, nice menu choice, very enjoyable meal.

I am just back at work from having lunch with a friend at Chocolat Restaurant. Brilliant value for money. Had the combo deal - chicken and broccoli soup, BLT Panini with fries and cup of coffee, all for €10. Just amazing!

The food from all three courses was very tasty & cooked well. The cocktails were very nice. Service was quick but the waitresses were not the friendliest. Will go back again for the food choices but not the service.

Went to Chocolat for a meal with girls from work. We had the Early Bird. The starters were beautiful.. there was 2 x Veg Spring Rolls, 1 x Soup, 1 x Caesar Salad & 1 X Bruschetta.. I had the Spring Rolls and I thought they were lovely, the Caesar Salad was hugh and by all accounts beautiful. Was very disappointed with my mains, I had the Yan Pang Chicken with noodles. the portion size was good&the; sauce was lovely but the chicken was way too over cooked, I found it very hard to cut it and the noodles were dry, as if cooked for a long time.. two of the girls had the lasagne which they were not too impressed with. We all had desserts and they were lovely. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was lovely. A real pity about the main courses.

Went to Chocolat on a busy Saturday night for a birthday dinner and everyone enjoyed the food. A great mix of dishes, so even the pickiest of eaters would find plenty to enjoy. I had the asian beef salad, which was presented beautifully. It was flavorful and light. I also tasted the caeser salad, which was delicious. For main I had the ribs, which were sizzling and spicy. Amazing. To finish I had the death by chocolate cake. I was stuffed (huge portions), but it was all great. The only downside is that Chocolat packs in so many people that it can be very loud, not ideal when we were all sitting around a large round table. Four course for €25 in the city centre is hard to beat though, well worth it.

We came for dinner here on a few occasions, and overall it was a good experience. Menu is good, with plenty of options. Food is good and the portion sizes are plenty big. The service is quite good, however it does get very busy. Overall good food, and reasonable prices. it is an ideal spot for a large group. worth a visit for sure.

Our booking was for 6pm. The food, specifically chicken fajitas & mussles, were over seasoned (I mean waaaay to much salt) & the dips which accompanied the fajitas looked like what you would get from a squeezy bottle/large industrial bucket of stuff rather then freshly made. I got the impression some things were pre-cooked (for example the fish cake) and was simply warmed through before serving. Some of the food was simply not as hot as it should have been. On the up side, the staff were very good and extremely helpful. If price alone is your deciding factor and you want a cheap night out this is your place.

Last Thursday my friends booked a table for my birthday on arrival though they had no record of the booking and we were seated at 2 tables first before they moved us yet again to a 3rd table. Our orders were taken and the starters were brought quickly and were good. We waited quite a while before our mains were brought and when I took a bite of my stuffed chicken breast I realised it was still frozen in the centre. I sent it back but received no apologies. A new serving was brought out but while I was waiting my side dish had gone cold and wasn't replaced. On finishing our mains my friend enquired as to whether I could receive a free desert for the upset and was rudely eventually told I could. We ate our desert and requested the bill but had been charged for the desert and had to complain again. At no stage did anyone apologise to me for my chicken being frozen and I felt that the service really left a lot to be desired. I will not be returning.

Popped in here after work with some workmates. We had hot chocolate and a trio of deserts which were delicious. it was a cold evening so it just hit the spot. The sampler was great as we got to taste different deserts and went down a treat with all 4 of us girls. We got a window table so had a view of the city and the passers by and enjoyed a nice chat in pleasant modern surroundings. Great service and excellent staff would make me return again and again.

Had a very disappointing experience here before Christmas. Went in to have lunch with my two daughters and granddaughter - sat at a table - waited to be served - was ignored for a considerable length of time - asked to see menu - was then asked by waitress if we had reserved table in advance - said we hadn't - then was told that they needed that table as it had been reserved prior to our arrival and they had forgotten to put a reserved sign on it. There was no other table available on that floor of the restaurant and we had no option but to leave. We received little by way of apology. Always had enjoyed going there before but will never go back there now.
