Top quality food - 3 of us had the small portion of fish & chips which is just a perfect amount and the fish & batter were perfect . But the highlight was Jessica - who served us - she was a breath of fresh air and also totally efficient.

We ate here on a Friday evening. Bar was busy with most people eating but we were shown to a table straight away. We shared a starter of garlic mushrooms which were lovely then had fish & chips, burger and a fish special all of which were very good. Portions were really big. Staff were all very friendly too. Would eat here again.

The feeling of violation is not pleasant. This morning I met with two friends for a quick coffee in Bobby Byrnes. I ordered a double espresso which was adequate. My first time ordering one in Bobby's. On paying I asked how much - €4.40 was the response. €4.40 I enquired? 'Yes' was the response. I asked was there a mistake. I had one double espresso. No. We charge €4.40 for double espresso. I informed the staff member that a double espresso is at most 0.30 to 0.40 cent more expensive than a single espresso you don't simply enter in the till as two x espresso. Oh - we do. So Bobby's Byrnes take the award for the most expensive double espresso i've had in the world. It is around double the price of anywhere else in the city and is at best mediocre. Vote with your feet - AVOID ! ! !

Had an early evening bite here with a friend. We were told to try the beer battered fish and chips and my God it did not disappoint, it was finger licking good. Well priced, served with a smile, nice atmosphere during a rugby game and a nice friday evening after work buzz about the place. Handy parking outside the door and lots of other bars in the area within a few minutes walking distance. I enjoyed my visit here and would recommend it to you.

Great pub for grub. It is more of a gastro pub than a pub you would go for a few pints but it is a good place to stop into for a good feed before going out for a few pints. It has a good atmosphere and the food is excellent.

I love Bobby Byrne's. I used to eat there every there when I was in H.S.I. Called in on Saturday for a bite to eat at lunchtime. Its still as inviting and warm as ever. I had the toasted sandwhich with a lovely mug of tea. Its a happy, relaxed place to go and will hopefully get a chance to visit it more often
