I was treated to a birthday meal here with some family (3 adults, 2 chidren aged 12 & 14) Not really catering to chilren; no childrens menus, though they enjoyed the experience. The food was very fresh and this was proved by the quality and taste. The meats and vegetables were all locally produced. The staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. The menu had many options I'd love to try but I decided on a crab linguine with side salad. Other mains ordered at our table were rack of lamb on a bed of lentils with seasonal steamed veg, free-range chicken fillet with ham and mozzarella, and seafood paella. We ordered the house white wine which went beautifully with the seafood dishes. Desserts ordered were tiramisu, pavlova with summer berries, brownies with icecream and a trio of panna cotta; all freshly made and delicious. The price is quite expensive but The Courthouse restaurant makes for a nice treat on a special occasion.

Were in Sligo for BHol weekend, and friends invited us to the Courthouse. We were happy to oblige and duly the Courthouse obliged us with their great food & service. Early bird portions were sufficient, great warm chicken salad, and tasty deep fried brie. Again the veg...One of our friends suggested the breaded deep fried courgettes and they were so good we had to have more...As ever a treat and better again an unexpected one...

Visited the courthouse for our summer feed and wasn't disappointed. the sign of a good restaurant is when you have decided and then hear the specials, you have to change your mind as they are so good. We had to do this, the starter of scallop on squid ink risotto sounded too good to leave, and tasted like more. Similarly the hake with crab & tomato sauce was delicious. Who'd ever have thought you'd rave about the side of veg, but it is worthy of mention, fresh crunchy, perfectly cooked & seasoned. My wife loved her lobster parcel with mascarpone & tomato sauce with flecks of crab, she was lucky i didn't get at it as it too was delicious. Her main was new too, Irish lamb with lentils, rosemary & red wine reduction. This was both unusual and tasty part of it was like a lamb spring roll crunchy & bursting with flavor. follow this with the four seasons desert and with plenty of attentive & knowledgeable service and the courthouse delivered,Good buzz, great food and good value. We'll be back !

Nice place but tables are tight. Good choice of an expensive menu. Its a place to go for a sepcial occasion. The wine list was expensive. We had an organic wine which was just middle of the road. Would have loved to order a diffferent one, but was way to pricey. The food was very tasty, all courses. You have to book in advance to get a table. Yes I would eat here again, if I can get someone to treat me.
