AWARDS & PRIZES

We seek out the best establishments in every part of Ireland for inclusion in our guides and, because we work independently and without charging a fee, you know that we can be trusted to lead you to the best places over a wide range of categories. In 1900, André Michelin published the first edition of a guide to France to help drivers maintain their cars, find decent lodging, and eat well while touring. In 1926, the guide introduced the star to note good cooking; two and three stars were added in the early 1930s. The guide awards one to three stars to a small number of restaurants of outstanding quality. Every year, the Bridgestone editors set out to find those restaurants that offer the best cooking and the best service in Ireland. This book features grand city restaurants, and tiny little one-room restaurants in the wilds of the country. There are restaurants located on islands, and restaurants that reverberate with the energy and mania of the city.

So impressed with the oarsman last night. Food menu staff all excellent. Guitarist playing while we ate was brilliant too and the a really good band played after he finished. Can't wait to go back

I had lunch here with some clients. Lovely staff, great communication when booking and service was excellent. Food is delicious and some unusual things on the menu (I had grilled Ling). Not your typical pub lunch, the food here is much more adventurous and the better for it. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

Great location on the main street. There was talk it may be closing? A really brilliant pub with a restaurant section upstairs that allows you to be placed discreetly but still feel part of the pub atmosphere. Food was good although just a notch above run of the mill pub food prices. Called in on the Sunday as well and they had a great live music session on. well worth a stop
