My Husband and I booked a table for 2 in the Ming court for approx 7pm, on arrival the waitress approached us lead us to a table, then told us we could not have my assistant dog in the restaurant with us. We pointed out to her that he was an assistant dog and wearing his appropriate harness, she said due to health and safety he could not stay again we pointed out that he was exempt from health and safety, and asked to speak with the owner. She rang the manageress who told us there was never an assistant dog in the premises before and she would have to contact the owner who was not available. In all the restaurants, cafes and bars i have been in my assistant dog has always been made more then welcome. I suggest Ming Court learn the law before ejecting from there premises an assistant dog

The best chinese in Kilkenny. Ate here on new years day. They had a great early bird menu, 2 courses for 17 or 3 for 20. Great selection and huge portions, Wasnt able to finish mine. I had steak in black pepper sauce, delicious. Very friendly staff and nice and warm. Central location on John street.

On a recent visit to kiikenny we found ourselves outside this chinese restaurant - from the outside it didn,t look much but a queue of people made us give it a try. It was very busy with several large groups but we still got service very promptly from a friendly staff member. The decor was a little bit worse for wear but no big deal. I ordered the sizzling fillet steak in black pepper sauce (bit dear at 26 euro !) but OMG it was fab !!! Other dishes on the menu were much less expensive and there was a good selection. We did notice a lot of the local people eating dining which I think is a good sign. Overall a luvly night.
