Grand spot to break a journey. Always found the staff very pleasant. Good value for those with kids. Seems to have a lot of regulars which is always a good sign.

I don't usually write reviews, but this is a special case. 5 years in a row I've stopped in mother hubbards while cycling from dublin to galway for charity and I've genuinely never been anywhere with service this poor. The food is the same level as what you'd generally expect from a shop deli, which isn't a surprise and considering the price isn't something i could possibly complain about. However, every year I am astounded at how ignorant and brisk the staff are. I've finally had enough and will never be back, and I highly discourage anyone else from going either. Shockingly poor

Not exactly fine dining, but this is a good place to stop if you've been driving for hours and have a car full of ravenous children, and are on a budget. It's your typical road-side diner, full Irish breakfasts, sandwiches, chips, soups, steak, lamb, kids deals etc... All at moderate prices. However, after seemingly having consumed a lot of food for little money, the lemon cheesecake (and other desserts), is obviously where they make up for cheap mains. If you want a real road trip experience, pretend you're cruising down an American highway and stop here to satisfy your apetite.
