This spacious and child friendly restaurant is the perfect venue for lunch. The food was excellent quality and affordable with a range of lunch starters from €5 each and mains for €10 as well as more upmarket options should one wish to delve a little deeper into their pockets. We enjoyed the BBQ wings to start follows by fish of the day(hake) and a burger. The home cooked thick cut fries and mattered hake were crisp and freshly cooked. A nice bar man agreed to make me an espresso martini which wasn't on the lunch menu and he did a surperb job. We didn't order dessert but they had an extensive dessert menu and I'd have been happy to eat any of the first 4 desserts listed which isn't a bad complaint. The staff were friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. It's roomy and spacious so it was ideal for young children in buggies as I didn't feel we were invading the next tables space. There is a large toilet downstairs with baby changing facilities. I will definitely be going back

An extremely enjoyable experience. The quality of the food was superb and the choice on the menu was fantastic and our waiter/s were extremely attentive. I will definitely be back to Oak Alley. Whilst not a criticism i was a little surprised that 2 of the 3 fish dishes were sold out by 8.30 on a Saturday night, that said there was ample choice from the rest of the menu. The smoking area seems to be at the front of the restaurant and people were smoking at the door both when we arrived and when we left. As a non smoker i would have preferred not to have to walk through this. I appreciate there is seating on both sides of the door but people were not using these.

I really enjoyed the food in this restaurant, I have been to most of the restaurants in Maynooth and this was up there as one of the best. I visited oak alley on a Tuesday evening for the early bird which is grat value, I had calamari which was excellent and salmon for main, really good. My partner had a ham hock croquette which he really enjoyed followed by Steak which was full of flavour. The service was perfect and it is a fab looking restaurant inside. I will definitely return here, I just wish that the early bird didn't finish at 6.45, it's a bit too early, especially on a week night.

I had never been here before but it came highly recommended. The service was very pleasant. The food although well cooked and well presented was anLittle bland. No salt or pepper on the table. It also took quite a while between ordering the food and the food arriving. Ambience was nice but something needs to happen with the menu to make it more appealing.

Went here for lunch with my partner. It was our second visit and I wasn't impressed the first time but decided to give it another go. I had the open sandwich with Fennel Roasted Sausages and red onion marmalade and chunky chips. The sausages were not what I expected at all- they were like cheap tasteless canteen sausages with a few fennel seeds sprinkled over them- not the quality sausages I was expecting. The chips were certainly not homemade or chunky - more like oven chips- and were very under cooked and tasteless. I didn't enjoy it at all and was pretty disappointed. Wont go back and wouldn't recommend here for food.

We really enjoyed our visit to Oak Alley on Saturday last. We had been in other restaurants in Maynooth, but this was our first visit to this establishment. The ambiance was fantastic, and the staff both friendly and attentive. With a varied menu, there is something to cater for all tastes. We also enjoyed the live music performed by a lady named Maria, playing guitar and singing. The food was amazing and beautifully presented. Price was reasonable including the wine. We will definitely be back

We were a group of 4 and really enjoyed our evening in Oak Alley from the food to the atmosphere. The girl singing in the restaurant was very good and lovely to listen to while we were having our meal. The cocktail bar upstairs was fabulous although the cocktails are pricey so we only had 2 but a very trendy bar! Will definitely go back and highly recommend it!

Lovely atmosphere and music. Cocktails are amazing and the food is top-notch. Had calamari to start and jambalaya for my main. Really enjoyed both. Have visited New Orleans and Oak Alley definitely have captured the essence of the city. Food is also just as good as in New Orleans itself! Can't wait to return and try more of the menu!

Great Food, due to the Time of year the place was really busy and table time were running 30 mins late, While this was not ideal the staff did everything they could to make us happy and at the end of the meal gave us a free drink. Service was very friendly and I had the 3 course 30 euro Christmas meal which was great value

Nice enough but prices a bit high for what you get.. Apart from the female member of staff in the cocktail bar it's not the most welcoming restaurant, it may just have been because they were busy. But there are better restaurants in the area where a welcome is assued.

Excellent. Started with a champagne cocktail, which went down well, and the rest of the night with great.
