I have had take-away twice from Saffron and it was great on both occasions but I ate in for the first time last Sunday. The restaurant was quiet but have to say the food and service were excellent. We both skipped starters, I had chicken tikka masala and my mate had chicken jalfrezi, both dishes were really tasty and the naan bread was fresh and delicious. We didn't realise at the time, but you can now bring your own beer or wine to this restaurant, which is an excellent addition. It really is great to have a decent Indian restaurant in Kilcock and I really hope it survives.

I haven't 'dined in' in Saffron yet, but since it's opened we've had take away numerous times and every time we're delighted with the service, price and food. They do a 10% discount on take away food if you collect it, which is a v welcome initiative, and give you complimentary popadoms with dips with every meal. Pilau rice (must admit the pilau rice is a little strange - coloured white, red and yellow but no distinctive pilau flavours, still delicious though) comes as standard with all the mains we've gotten and we've tried many things now on the menu and have not been disappointed yet. Considering how much an Indian meal has cost us in the past, I'm very impressed with their prices and I can't wait to go for a sit down meal as the people we've met there or spoken to on the phone have been really nice. Try the Murgh Methi Malai and the Zafarani Zhinga!
