This place is a little gem. Ok so it might not look that great from the outside but the food is excellent and the staff are most welcoming. Try the homemade onion bhajis for starters which are huge or the shalicks for mains. You cant go wrong with the prices either. 36 euro for 2 courses each and a bottle of wine. A second bottle is only a tenner extra. I'd imagine a lot of the customers end up quite drunk.

Forgive the outside impression. Great value at 36 for 2 people including 4 cobra beers. Food was nice, no complaints, nothing too special, but wasnt expecting it. Staff were very friendly and polite, and I must admit, I thought the Tikka Masala sauce was yummy, and ate way to much with lots of naan bread. This is the ideal drop in spot if you want "take away" served at the table. Cheap as chips, and stuffed to the gills.

On first impressions of exterior of restaurant you would be forgiven for doubting your choice, also the interior is a bit shabby but apart from all this there is a lovely atmosphere if the place is busy . This place is so popular due to its fab food and outstanding value i.e. €35 2 starters 2 mains and a bottle of wine for two !! that you would need to book on weekends . Staff are friendly and nice homely atmosphere. Portions great too. Great for casual nite out but if your looking for somewhere romantic or special then you may be disappointed. Definitely worth a visit .

restaurant ts shoddy looking, counter and bar were poor. general decor needs freshening up. popudoms and dips were nice ,we had grilled sizzling meats which was ok but a bit small. main s included chicken korma and a tikka massala, both tasted similar and both were very sweet ,too sweet. rice was ok but naan was flat and tasteless.would not return

The best Indian Restaurant I've eaten in nationwide. The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is simple but relaxed. Service is excellent. Really busy take-away service which is always a good sign! Highly recommended.

My husband and I visited here over the bank holiday and our experience was mixed. My husbands food was good but my fish curry was not. The curry presented as peices of fried fish, fried patato, fried onion with the curry sauce served seperately. The waitor explained that the dish is served in this way but it really wasn't nice. Also, we noticed that the menu in the window differed to the menu presented to us, which was more expensive. I wouldn't go back but to be fair my husbands food was nice.

Bombay Bistro! ... The food is absolutely spot on - authentic food - was unable to find Indian food as good as this in Ireland before here - without paying extortionate prices in a few "posher establishments" in Dublin. We are regular customers here both in house and takeaway - the staff & management are so accommodating and really strive for you to enjoy your meal. The decor as per another review is not great but I have seen a slow and gradual improvement since they opened - I expect as they build the business there's a little more € to invest in the aesthetics! The correct order I feel, I would much rather eat where the food is great and the decor mediocre than the other way around! If you enjoy Authentic Indian Food, you'll love it here!

we go to this restaurant quite offen due to the friendly atmosphere and the warm reception our children receive. The food is always great. The staff make you feel so welcome and that applies very much to our children. The decor to me is simple and cosy making the best use of the small amount of space available. i would recommend a visit with or without children as the atmosphere is quite romantic

Clane really needs a good Indian restaurant- this has potential but it's not there yet. Because it is small, and it caters for a take-away custom also, there is a feeling that you are more in a takeaway waiting area, rather than a restaurant. The decor - carpets, furniture etc is just too worn looking - I think this doesn't encourage business. In terms of food, the chicken Tika is very good, and some of the other dishes are also well perfected - but, this isn't enough to encourage me to eat there, as bad front of house decor doesn't encourage any faith in the kitchen- update and re-design the restaurant and I'll book my table tomorrow. Service is good, polite and courteous. In summary, there is business there for the taking - especially as the competitors are two well established Chinese restaurants. Please do make the effort.

Not bad. Only ever eaten takeout. Tried most of the sauce dishes at this stage and have no complaints.
