Had soup and sandwich combo with friends, nice soup and sandwich but staff member that brought us to our table was rude. Sat down and had the same unfriendly staff member take our order. Doesn't hurt to be polite to the customer coming from a fellow hospitality industry employee. Atmosphere can do alot for a small cafe and that has put me off going back! Although value for food is good.

This place is random!! Not sure if it's a cafe or a restaurant. We were there on a Saturday night and as well as the Early Bird menu, we were given another menu offering breakfast, toasted sandwiches etc.! The food itself was quite tasty, although it appeared so quickly that we thought it might have been reheated in the microwave. Portions are big so we didn't have much room left for dessert but we managed to share one. It is undoubtedly good value. We paid just over 50 euro for two starters, two mains, a dessert, a coffee and a bottle of wine.

Dined here early on a Saterday evening and went for the 2 course special menu which at EUR13.95 is excellent value, especially given the range available. Both starter of prawns and mains of seabass were excellent. The sea bass especially was cooked to perfection and the portions were generous and left no room for dessert. Next time I will leave room for dessert hopefully, as they looked to be very tempting. Lovely clean, modern restaurant with great service also. If you are in the locality, this place deserves a visit!

This is by far the best place to eat in Celbridge and surrounding areas. Have been here many times and have tried several different things from the menu eg, steak, chicken, lasagne, pasta, fish. The chicken wings, soup and brushetta are our favourite starters. We have never been disappointed. The food is cooked to perfection and is always served hot. The portion sizes are quite big so we are normally to full for dessert. We have sampled a selection, which have been homemade and very tasty. The waiting staff are pleasant and professional. The early bird menu is of exceptionally good value. They always play great music and the decor is modern and chique. Would highly recommend Hogans to anyone who likes excellent tasting food in a modern setting.

I had been here before for lunch and wasnt sure what to expect at night, but pleasently surprised, lovely atmosphere in the restaurant with the candles and music. 6 of us had a great meal, great choice of starters and main courses. I had the prawns to start and the sea bass served with a lovely sauce and great sauted potatoes, some had the chicken dishes which they raved about and the lads had steak which was cooked as they wanted it.The waitress was a lovely girl and service was super. The bill was great value as they have special offers on and some main courses were only €10.00. I will definitely go back and and think this is a great addition to eating out in Celbridge.

had a mixed experience here, first time about a month ago, had the special offer meal for 2 & wine 49.95 was excellent value and the waitress was brilliant, only think was it was not an 8oz fillet as the menu had stated. Second time 2 weeks ago we were seated by a young waiter, he dropped down wine and no glasses were on the table, he took are order we both orderd fillet then he said sorry we only have 1 left ( should have told us before) I had the fillet and my partner sirloin, very dry both steaks, waited 15mins for our plates to be cleared and then were not offerd dessert. It hasent put us off the place still great value for money but theese small things need to be addressed

Have eaten here a couple of times before and if anything I think it's getting better! We were just in time for the early bird so I ordered from that menu and himself ordered from the a la carte. We had Bruschetta and Chicken Wings to start, both done really well and Fillet Steak, Cod and chips for mains. The Steak was perfectly cooked, mushroom sauce was tasty and the onions rings that came with it are the best I have ever had, anywhere! I don't even like onion rings but I could have eaten my own body-weight in these ones. The only little let down was the cod, he said it was watery and didn't really taste of much but the chips and mushy peas that came with it were excellent. We were too full to have dessert. The total for all the above, a coke and a nice glass of house red came to €40.40, a steal! We also had very attentive and efficient service from the super friendly waitress.
