Hi, I had a lovely night in the hotel & enjoyed the dinner & the wine. The food was tasty but I did feel the menu was quite limited. There was only one starter that my partner could eat & I struggled also even though I eat most things. What we had was delicious (Steak & a Chicken dish, chef special) but the accompanying vegetables were not great as it was more like a ragu. Would eat there again but would like more options/variations on the menu. Waiting staff were very attentive & friendly, extremely proffessional.

We did pick a bad day to go here as we had forgotten the races were on in Punchestown! It was last minute! The food was really good, I had the prawns to start and they were gorgeous. I had fish main as well which was tasty and we shared a cheesecake dessert. I would highly recommend the food but I was a bit disappointed with the menu choice and the fact that because it was race day they did not do their early bird menu. I thought that was a bit cheeky to just put on the al a carte menu with very few choices. Did was not mentioned when booking. I realise they were very busy but they did not explain themselves very well! Overall very good and we would return on a less busy day as we had to leave the hotel straight after the meal as the place was extremely busy and they were serving drinks in plastic glasses in the bar!

What a lovely restaurant, really top notch food and the service was excellent, setting was very romantic with the lovely lights, Booked a table for the early menu so when we arrived the restaurant was very quite and lacked a bit of atmosphere but soon livened up. All round excellent restaurant that we took a chance on, not knowing anything about it , so were really pleased. Great early bird, looking forward to trying their Ala Carte. I will be back

Four of us dined here, menu had variety, Wine list was excellent. Service was friendly & Polite. Starters were ok fish cakes and wings. Mains were very good burger and batter cod but the lasagna was very greasy and fatty very poor and for two caused serious indegestion avoid this option. Wines were keen and variety was good

Excellent restaurant. Great atmosphere. Brilliant service I brought one of my friend here for his birthday and the food was delicious. The staff were great and they even turned off the lights and brought him out a cake. Although he was quite embarassed :) Will definitely be returning here.

I had the most amazing meal at Mash. This restaurant is most definitely up there with the likes of any of the other well known establishments, in my opinion. We were spoiled with amazing amuse bouche, and pre desserts. The meal as a whole was incredible. I cant wait for my next visit.

Myself & my husband ate here on Friday night. We went for the early bird which finishes at 19:30. We were served a basket of the most gorgeous, fresh bread I've had in a restaurant & an amuse buche which consisted of Salmon & carmalised onion on smoe brown bread - delicious. I has the goats cheese for starters & my husband had the sausage. Both were really tasty & hot, which was great. I can't stand cold food in a restaurant. My goats cheese was sitting on veg & hebs - really tasty & creamy. Afterwards we had a red cherry sorbet which was very nice. My husband had the 12oz steak for mains. He ordered chips too even though the main came with potatoes & Vegetables. I had the pork wrapped in parma ham. It was delicious, very soft & really tasty. The vegetables were fantastic, slightly crunchy, hot & really fresh. We cleared the plates!!!! For dessert I had the coconut bomb with white chocolate & my husband had the chocolate & orange cheesecake... again the plates were cleared. I had a glass of white wine & my husband had a half bottle of red (Paulita- which was gorgeous!). We left the restauant about 10, nobody rushing us & all the staff were so attentive. The meal came to ~100 euro, which we thought was very reasonable - We had such a wonderful meal & a great evening. I can't recommend Mash enough & I can't wait to go again.

Having booked this table 4 weeks in advance I was disappointed to arrive and be told that all the window seats were pre-booked so if you want a window seat here then be sure to mention it when booking. We waited quite a while for our starters, over 30 minutes in fact but in between we received an amuse bouche of cream cheese and parma ham which was quite tasty. The breads that came to the table were varied and delicious and I really enjoyed the accompanying pesto. To start I had the smoked salmon roulade and my partner had some kind of spicy shrimp dish with rice. Both starters were pleasant enough but quiet expensive for what you got so the amuse bouche that we had already eaten and sorbet that followed are definitely needed to justify the price. The lemon and vodka sorbet was to die for. For mains we both ordered the sirloin steak, mine med. rare and his rare. The steak was not the best I've ever had, overdone at one end but nice and juicy at the other. It came with duchess potatoes and a selection of veg. I think I had been expecting alot more from this meal given recent excellent reviews. All waiting staff were friendly and efficient. Our meal without wine but including 2 coffees came to €95.

This was my second time to visit Mash at the Osprey Hotel and the first time I went I thought it could not be surpassed but to my delight it was. We were seated by the window and a very pleasent view of the water fountain The Restaurant itself is splendid and very comfortable with service that is superb even down to the linen. The menu itself caters for a lot of tastes and boy what tastes they can produce. Their meals are cooked and seasoned to perfection. Recently The Sunday Independent's Life Magazine ran Nominations for the countrys finest restaurants and I simply had to nominate Mash as the best Hotel Restaurant.

Well, what can i say, the food in Mash was amazing ,it started with a surprise mini venison burger, and ends with a cheesecake like no other. Every piece of food from the venison sausage down to the carefully crafted carrrots which tasted better than carrots, to the spiral of mash and the small square of layered potatoes with what i think was a soft cheese in between each layer were all served very professionally. This is not some resturant where you pay good money to get a chef who thinks good expensive food is to try and make each dish a work of art, here the emphasis is on taste, flavour, quality of ingredients, not to mention the surprise mini courses which a nice touch,,The portions are very generous,,My steak being my Favourite was cooked perfectly made even tastier by a super pepper sauce,, I take my hat of to a chef and his kitchen staff who have a passion for cooking real good food, Forget about the price ,this place is worth a vist as you will not care how much the bill is as the food speaks for itself, but in saying that the price is excellent. All this good food is served by well trained and polite staff who look after your every need, service is quick you i never left waiting, the wine selection is excellent, I will be going there again Brian

I think this has to be the best all round dining experience ever! A friend and I had dinner here on Friday evening & I have to say from starters through to dessert the food was fantastic. The attention to detail on the presentation side perfected each course. The menu itself is well designed with something to suit all tastes and the added extras such as sorbet & petit fours compliments the delicious food. Staff are very friendly & efficient. Can't wait to return.
