Love this place. Such friendly can do staff. Lovely setting. The Thursday night steak night is my favourite. The steak melts in your mouth. There's never anything left on my plate and I'm a picky eater!

My husband and myself had the early bird. We shared a starter and a desert. I had the salmon and he had the sirloin steak. Each of the courses were very good and the service was efficient and friendly. They serve nice wines and craft beers. We often eat here and have never had a bad meal.

Ok first off, kudos to the new owners, the place has improved. However, the furniture is dated in the lounge. The food is average at best, seasoning is totally off.The bar is horrible, stuck in a 1970s timewarp. But from a zero star to a 1.5 star is an improvement

Called in here for lunch as I had recently read a great review about the Dew Drop Inn. Sorry now that I made the effort. The food was awful, both starters and mains. The chips were just oiled filled carcasses,I think either there is a problomatic deep fat fryer or else the operater needs to do a refresher course on the correct use of same. Had often eaten here in the past before the pub changed and I would be of the opiinion that the food was much better then than it is now. Will not come back here again. Poor value for money in my estimation.

The staff were lovely and so friendly, very accommodating. As I lactose-intolerant i cannot eat any dairy, although was very disappointed that very little on the menu was dairy-free however the chief was happy to accommodate me and allowed me to choose any meal on the menu and he could facilitate it to be dairy free with minor changes, eg chips instead of mash potatoe

Myself, my husband and two small children ate at The Dew Drop Last Sunday. I will begin with the positives. The place was clean, had a pleasant atmosphere and our waiter was polite. However we found the food to be bland and slightly overpriced for what you get. It must be said that the Kid's Eat Free made things a bit easier on the wallet. Not too bad but not my favourite by a long shot.

I hadnt been here in years since its sloppy meat and 2 veg days, and had seen it was ran by the same group who own harte's bar in kildare, so we decided to try it out, to be honest the food was poor, not near the same in their kildare spot, i had the steak on the stone concept, opted for the fillet which was sour and grey around the edges,i reported this to my waiter who was lovely and was promptly given a second one which was better, though quite tough, (may have been put off by my first offering) the sauce was gloopy and looked like bisto and didnt taste much better, my brother had the chicken stuffed with chorizo and white wine sauce he said it was bizarre, i didnt disagree.my wife had the fishcakes which she loves in hartes, but said they were bland. kids ate free so we were happy with that.though friendly efficient service, The dew drop inn is not up to par with their other pub, or many other pubs with similar accolades.

I eat here quite regularly, and I must admit I enjoy it a lot. However, I have felt that one or two of their dishes can be touch and go in so far as they have tasted completely different, every now and then, and not always in a good way. Overall, I generally always leave pleased and well fed. My family and I always find the staff courteous and attentive, very child friendly. The atmosphere is great. Their sister restaurant, Hartes, is definitely a little more "up-market" but I would still count the Dew Drop Inn as one of my faves! They should start doing breakfast, they'd do great business!

Was here just after Christmas so as you can imagine they were very busy when we arrived, we were promptly sat at our table in the Lounge and given menus as per any place you would go into. We had gone here because we had eaten in Hartes bar, Kildare Town which we found lovely & their food presentation brilliant, as the Dew Drop is their sister pub we were expecting the same. The food although okay lacked a certain wow factor for me and also my friend would have said the same after our experience in their sister pub, good honest pub grub which willl fill you up but if your looking for something to wow you the Dew Drop will not be the place. All round pleasant experience though & good service
