I've eaten here quite a few times - it's close to my favorite beach. Their soups are fantastic - butternut squash, a parsnip and lentil, potato. The seafood chowder is also grand. I had a veggie risotto recently - tasted so fresh! Sometimes the staff seems a bit unobservant. Once I came in 3 times in a week and the same waiter asked if I was doing the Ring of Kerry drive that day. Um....no.

I have eaten in the Blind piper many times over 20 yrs , but not any more. during the day went in and saw the "specials menu" with no prices displayed!.Took it for granted it was like Killarney 9.5€ to 10.5€ per lunch. had a fish and chips, Hake which was frozen packaged chunks " Donegal catch "style and a cidona , got charged like a wounded bull 18.50€ , Beware of the specials menu Without the prices displayed or you will become the next mouse in the trap.

We were here a couple of times over the weekend, in fact, we have been here dozens of times over the last 8 years. Its a great bar, in a beautiful location. Lunches are great value here, and even drink is reasonably priced. Service is hard, especially if you want food. Mainly due to how busy it can be. Nevertheless, its a fantastic bar and we will be back again, hopefully before the year is out.

We had two lovely lunches here. The steak ciabatta (7.50) is excellent. Same for the chicken fajita (7.00). Lovely cosy pub. Great atmosphere.
