Went here based only on the reviews/awards posted in its window - I hadn't heard of it before. It was full when we first enquired but we didn't mind waiting until 9.00. And it was sure worth it. It is simply one of the best restaurants I have ever been in. It gets the balance right between being inventive, tasty, and satisfying. Nothing pretentious at all. I had the oysters to start - served on ice with red wine vinegar & shallots to drizzle... plus tabasco. Just perfect. The Crab (trio of..) starter was equally good and surprisingly plentiful, considering it's contents. The main course, a special of brill on baby vegetables and polenta cakes, was sublime. A half-carafe of lovrly house white washed it down perfectly before we shared their tasting dessert - 6 little spoon-size portions of lovely stuff,,,,why can't all restaurants do this sort of dessert. Service was up there with the food, friendly and very confident and assured. The bill was a bit above your average restaurant, but good value for this quality. Can't say when I'll be in Dingle again, but this will definitely be on the menu whenever than is. I can't fault a single thing, so it's all fives, I'm afraid.
