The food tasted excellent. Three of us had the stir fry from the early bird. While the portion was adequate for me(female), it was small for the other 2(males) that had it. The potato au gratin was amazing which the fourth person had. Maybe a side of this could be included. We all had the apple crumble for dessert which was delicious but a scoop of ice cream or more custard could have been included we all agreed.

Service friendly, food very good. Reasonable prices. Only cheeseboard could include more artisan local cheeses.

We have eaten out a lot over the past few years in a lot of different restaurants, but I can definitely say this is the nicest restaurant we have eaten in. The food was top class and great value for money and the surroundings were very cosey and romantic. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. ken

I had eaten in Cassidys many times before and normally it was excellent however in this instance I will quite disappointed. We ate with some friends at the set dinner menu of €22.50 which was very good value it was just a pity the food wasn't great. Had the chicken salad to start which consisted of a few mixed leaves, red onion & chicken doused in a creamy sauce that was it! My other half had bland soup; the mains were ok although I had ordered prawn fettucini I did expect more that 6 prawns. The saving grace though was the desserts - Rhubarb creme brulee was delicious! However I won't be back in a hurry!!

Found the food to be very good value here. We came here for a Graduation dinner and we all ordered from the early bird menu. Though they seemed short staff the service was satisfactory with the exception of one waitress. We avoided asking her for anything after her first and last visit to the table left us all with a chill in our bones.. I would certainly recommend this to friends and family alike. Will be back

Excellent local restaurant... We went here recently on a Saturday night (a bit of local influence securing us a table on a very busy night) and I must say we were both highly impressed. The food is mostly simple and unpretentious but very, very good. I had a steak (flavoursome meat perfectly cooked) and the better half had the monkfish but it was the small details that impressed - e.g. the perfectly light trio of onion rings adorning the steak and the unusually well tempered vegetables. I reckon Tralee is lucky to have a restaurant of this calibre. Try the croquette-type thingies as a starter...

This place does not seem to need to make money, waited 10mins for someone to take a drink order & then it was not correct. They do not seem to know their wine menu & where did "service with a smile" go, pity as the food presentation, quality & quantity was very good.Atmosphere not great & the chairs very uncomfortable.Staff need to be trained in service & sales which would help both the customer & the bottom line!

Good solid menu-nothing too fancy but what they do is done well. Huge portions, great value. Lacks a bit of atmosphere-maybe too bright. Owners seem lovely but some of the waiting staff are a bit common and lacking table manner.
