Great food if not a little prices. Staff lovely and very helpful. Could do with turning the heating up, but overall very enjoyable.

Some nights things don't go right. Booked through MenuPages. Arrived at 8pm to an almost empty restaurant. The 2 members of staff on duty did there best to be friendly and bright but the food was unexceptional and once our main courses were served and the other table of guests had left they started to blow out the candles (8.30pm) and close up for the night. We finished up our mains and our bottle of wine and left at 9pm.Some nights just don't go.......

Arrived down to Killarney on a week’s holidays with my wife and my 2 girls (5) & (2) and based on the excellent reviews we had read we ended our trip in Treyvauds for Dinner. All I can say is from start to finish we cannot imagine being treated any better in any location, a real treat in style and service. A big thanks to Paolo and his team on ensuring our Holiday ended on a high note, the food was first class and to quote my 5 year old “Dad, can we come here every day!!” tells the tale. I look forward to coming back to your Restaurant with the family very soon.

We visited this restaurant last Saturday night and were surprised to find it practically empty on the run upto Christmas (although it did fill a bit later) It had a nice atmosphere and staff were attentive. We unfortunately missed the early bird menu and chose from the a la carte. My husband had steak which was cooked as requested and lovely. I had special of the night which was wild boar stuffed with black pudding - a bit dry for my taste and perhaps a bit overcooked. We shared a half carafe of wine at €14, and shared a bread and butter pudding for dessert which was ok. Coffees were good. Overall it was an average meal and on the expensive side (mains on the a la carte averaged €24) which might account for the lack of customers. Perhaps the early bird might be better value.

I had a solitary dinner on a cold winters night in Treyvauds during an overnight in Killarney. The restaurant is small and cosy with phots of the rich and famous posing with the chef/owner. Onto the food, Fish cakes were delicious and full of smoked fish, beautifully presented and accompanied by a very tasty aloi. Veal stuffed with a lovely mild black pudding was fantastic and the accompanying root vegitable mash was to die for. A truly wonderful flavoursome dish. I wish veal featured on more restaurant menus. I had an ok panna cotta for desert which was accompanied by a selection of "tinned fruits" which were fine but unessesary. Bread wasn't too fresh and was cold indicating it may have come out of a fridge so is hard to say if it was nice as cold bread has no flavour. A good espresso finished off a fine meal. (a token biscotti would have been a nice inexpensive touch) The two members of staff were pleasant, attentive and professional however as a lone diner i would have liked to have been engaged in a little conversation throughout the meal. The background music was a good mix set at an appropriate volume. In summary a very good fair priced restaurant with a a talented chef in the kitchen To top things off the chef came out to have a chat which was nice and muchappreciated.

After much seaching online for a really nice restaurant, we picked this Gem! The staff were really friendly and the food was to die for! I had a cod and crab bake to start and my boyf had fish cakes...both were superb. For main I chose chicken, served with creamed spinach and it was only amazing! Other half nearly always has steak but decided to go for the meatballs this time round and he wasnt disappointed! Some might say the restaurant its-self is quite ordinary, but dont let this fool you. The atmosphere was lovely...and food is definitely the focus! We only had starters and mains as we simply couldnt fit anymore in after the dinner! We both agreed that this is probably the nicest meal we've eatin out and boyf cannot wait to get back to killarney to try out the steak! Definitely worth a visit

It really is a smashing little restaurant, the staff couldnt have been more helpful, yet at same time not in your face, the quality, quantity and presentation of the meal was second to none, even the chips were addictive.... our only regret was that we had eaten not long prior to the meal so only had the main course, but cant wait to go back there again to sample the rest of the menu. in all very impressive, if not maybe a little pricey, but definatley worth a visit.

Back in Killarney last weekend and ate here again on the Saturday night. There was a good buzz but the whole town seemed so much quieter than my last visit. Food and service was excellent again and exceptional value. Had a nice few beers in The Laurels after which had a nice few in but nothing hectic and had a reasonable breakfast in the Vanilla Pod the following morning. Stayed in the Plaza. Lovely hotel, perfect location and also very reasonable. Very quickly begining to fall in love with Killarney

After looking for somewhere nice to take my wife on a date I picked this restaurant from reviews here. I am glad to say I was not disappointed. The food was very good. I got steak that was perfectly cooked and the accompanying pepper sauce was not too heavier or sticky. There was a nice, quiet relaxed atmosphere to the restaurant but still the staff were very attentive with being intrusive. A perfect place for a date. The food as in most Good Killarney restaurants is a little more expensive though.

Very good service and food. Went last saturday. Australian waiter could not have been more helpful, efficient and friendly. Had the confit duck salad as a starter...expected more leaves and veggies but the duck leg was nicely presented and beautifully cooked. My main of lamb was sublime. Pitty I culd not finish it! Perfectly pink and with a gorgeous sauce. The fondant potato was juicy and full of flavour. I chose to have it with a side salad which was also lovely. Boyfriend had the stuffed mushrooms for starter and medium rare steak. All perfect. We shared a warm chocolate cake dessert. Good value for money. I certainly recommend it!

Had the pleasure of eating here with 3 friends. When we arrived there were only 2 other diners but within 20 mins the restaurant was full. I had Calamari for starter - wonderful, followed by Rack of Kerry Lamb. My mouth is watering at the thought of it!!! Even though the restaurant was very busy we never felt rushed. It was a wonderful meal and I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Killarney. Not a single complaint from anyone in our group.

I went here for lunch a few weeks ago. I have visited the place loads of times, and I love it. The food is always fantastic and the service is always great. The last time I was there I got the club sandwich, I didnt want egg in it and that was no problem. The portion sizes are big and it was such good value for money. I will visit here again and again

We had an absolute fantastic meal here at the start of Feb. The place was really buzzing and the food was just excellent. I had the Quail to start followed by the Guinea Fowl and my wife had the Calamari with a massive steak as main. It was very tasty and brilliant value. The service was really good and very professional. We have to admit, it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Definately going back the next time in Killarney for the Irish Open

We ate here in Jan 2010 while visiting Killarney. Stopped to eat here with no reservation. As the main restaurant downstairs was fully booked we were seated upstairs. The staff were friendly and the food was good if a little pricey. The upstairs was cold and I had to resist eating with my coat on.

Ate lunch here today after the restaurant caught my eye when I was walking past. It is a cosy restaurant which was nice and warm. I was served quickly and i had the club sandwich and chips which was very tasty and was on a nice garlic and rosemary bread which was out of the ordinary. The restaurant is easy to find in Killarney town center. I liked the friendliness of the staff and the taste of the food the best. The restaurant could have been a bit brighter is my only complaint.
