Out of the storm and into the quiet! The waitress was lovely and friendly and the food was the best we'd had in Galway. I had the seafood platter at €21, it was a huge portion and would quite as well have served two, it came with a big pot of steaming mussels in white wine sause, a calamari asian style salad which was deicious and two thick slices of soda bread with salad, capers and smoked salmon piled high. It was well presented, and tasted divine. My hubby and elder son chose the burgers, the former being an 8oz and latter a 4oz, my hubby said it was the best burger (aftermy homemade ones) he'd ever eaten, it came served with a bucket of chunky chips. Younger son ordered from a very extensive children's menu, on which it was great to see a half portion of Roast of the day being offered alongside pasta, chicken goujons, breast of chicken with veg and mash! He ordered chicken goujons which came with fries and a special dipping sause. Including a pint of Guinness and two lemonades our bill came to €62 which i felt was very good value for money. We will be back for more when we're in that part of Ireland again!

Beautiful views and old style feel. Food could be better and the ante could be upped. Chowder is tasty but sandwiches could be more exciting. Decor needs an update too

I had heard it had changed hands recently so decided to give it another go. Its ok - don't get me wrong - the location and views are great but the food is a little lack lustre and unimaginative. Staff were nice though.

really great location to sit and have some food, overlooking Galway Bay. The food is a few euro dearer than other bar food but the atmosphere and views make up for that. There were 4 of us and we had lasagne, fillet chicken burger and the fish and chips. All made fresh and it was very tasty. We also had a chicken sandwich but at 7 euro it was not good value but otherwise it was spot on. Plenty of parking but i bet it's busy at the weekends and hard to grab an outside table!

This is a regular stop for me en route to Conemara. The views can't be beaten, they have a good value wide-ranging menu and service is warm and friendly. It can be busy at weekends and bank holidays, very popular with families. Staff are accommodating and on my last visit they made up a simple tuna salad sandwich on soda bread to my request as I was on a health kick!

I used to rave about this place for years!! The loaded potato skins to die for and anytime I had a main course there was never disappointed. Good service and fantastic view. Unfortunately, standards have slipped quite a bit over the past couple of years. My husband and I visited there a few times recently hoping they would redeem themselves but have failed to do so. First visit, I ordered my old faithful potato skins. They were burned and crispy, so much so that I only ate half before I gave up on them. On our last visit I decided to give the skins a miss and ordered the Lasagne. The portions were fantastic but unfortunately the lasagne was stone cold in the middle. There were only 3 other tables occupied when we were there so it's not like they were pushing dinners out hand over fist. I think that we will only go there for a pint on a sunny day and leave the dinners to someone else, until they improve at least.

It's more of a pub than a restaurant but it's priced more like a restaurant than a pub. Having said that, the food is pretty good and the location can't really be beat. The tables outside are great for a slow pint on a sunny day.

Visited Padraicins last Thursday, they had a great kids menu and great value for 6.95. I had a panini and my husband had the chowder, no complaints, food was great and a great view of the bay.

the € 19.95 four course menu was excellent value for money and the kids had their main course, ice cream with a juice drink for € 6.95 which was also great value for money, will definitely be back! Glad to see someone taking the initiative with value for money offers.

This place is now totally geared to food and its a grand spot for a Sunday lunch! It's a bit on the expensive for a typical Sunday outing, but the menu services all types and that is a strong point! Had food here regularly over the years!
