Lovely food & very friendly staff. Area a little small but still very much worth a visit. Will be back again.

Went here for a girls dinner night over Christmas who we couldn't find anywhere open. I was surprised I had never thought of going before. We were seated in the back, where the atmosphere was cosy and warm. The waiter was attentive, but not overly so. I had the fish which was cooked to perfection and I ate every morsel so quickly, so tasty was it. A friend had the duck which was out of this world. I had the creme brûlée which was fabulous and all persons at my table were jealous. My sister had the baked Alaska which wasn't as impressive as we had hoped and was consisting of separate items out together. The meal was the all night early bird which is absolutely fantastic value. I had a white wine by huge glass which was such a beautiful refreshing wine, I'm sorry I didn't note the name. Will certainly be back. It's a wonderful choice for a quite date night or a larger group too. Ask fora table in the back as the atmosphere is so cosy. Definitely worth trying, and I will be back, as soon as the opportunity arises to avail of the all night early bird!

Arrived with no reservation at 830pm on a tuesday, my friend & I had to wait 10 mins for a table, it was extremely busy at that time. While we waited at the bar the barman explained in great detail the ales on offer. When the table was ready a waitress kindly approached us at the bar to inform us & she took our drinks from the bar to the table on her tray (very impressed - very proffessional). The staff were very nice throughout our meal, timing was good (considering it was packed upstairs & down) food was excellent, compliments to the chef! I had the salmon cake for starters & a flat fish for mains on a bed of delicious veg (could definitely tell these were fresh), I would highly recommend both dishes & I am a steak person. Overall the staff all worked very efficiently & professional at all times and this was clearly down to the pleasant female floor manager who had her team very organised. Will be back there the next time I'm up the west!

Managed to get a table outside of a busy Martine's wine bar last week. Didnt stay for a full meal but had a couple of glasses of wine and shared a cheeseboard. Staff were very pleasant and we enjoyed our early evening stop off, with full view of an atmospheric Quay Street (great buzz generally, but with added flavour of the Galway Arts festival). Must go back to sample full menu.

We ate here on a trip to Galway for the weekend. Immediately the staff were great. Nice pint of Murphy's. €20 early bird - that is not so early / clever idea. Runs all night. Great selection of wine. 250g rib eye steak was delicious. Defo a winner on a street with so much choice.

Went here with my girlfriend and was expecting quality food and service due to the prices. Initially the service was very good as the staff went to find us a seat. We were eventually seated at the entrance which was uncomfotable. We both had steak and my rib eye was tough and of not great quality. By the time we got our main, most of the staff seemed to have gone home, and i waited 20 mins to find someone to get me some salt(yea no salt on the table) but I gave up. To sum up my visit, this place was not value for money.

We visited Martine's Wine Bar on Monday 8th August. The restaurant is very basic with formica like tables and very casual. The food is more expensive than most Dublin restaurants of this type and the menu is very limited. However, the food was good and the service was good. With the location in a street full of restaurants, I would be unlikely to go back.

Stopped in to avail of the early bird menu, two courses for €20. I had the goat's cheese tartlet, which was very tasty. Mr. Mona had the mussels, asian style, was a very generous portion and they were fresh and scrumptous. For main I had tandoori chicken, it was nice but nothing amazing. The other main of chicken supreme was devine, with roasted veg and mash. All in all a lovely meal for €40!

We hadn't made a booking and the waitress seated a couple before us but made up for it by seating us in the main room at a lovely table. My husbands mussel starter was great particularly the sauce and my main of scallops and black pudding was gorgeous. The rack of lamb seemed a little on the small side but was delicious also. We were really impressed with the australian shiraz which @ € 30 seemed very reasonable for such a beautiful wine. The staff really looked after us after the initial error and we would definitely go again.

Went for dinner last Friday. We had no reservation and the place was quite busy but threy accommodated us quite quickly. We both went for the Early Bird which is good value for money. I had the Coq au vin as a starter and having lived in France for a while it was not up to what I expected, but the flavours were there and the portion quite generous. Boyfriend had the chicken goujons and quite liked them. As mains, he went for the steak with fries which was perfectly cooked (medium rare) and came with the sauce on the side (as requested). I had the fish of the day Salmon...which was fresh and lovely. Nice garnish and once again generous size. Service was prompt and friendly.

We had the early bird menu. The food was good and great value. I probably wouldn't pay the full price for it but would go back for the early bird again. Service was very good. The staff were very friendly

Went to this place with a bunch of friends. Atmosphere was very cosy. Food was very nice: for starters, try their soup or chicken goujons, and go for the lamb ribs for mains. Other dishes were also great. Service was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and chatty!

Popped into Martines on Quay Street on the spur of the moment one evening for dinner and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and beautifully presented, the service and atmosphere were fantastic as well. I couldn't recommended it highly enough!
